Key depletion finally gone!

While playing casually it felt bad when my vault key got bricked. Then I had to do more runs to restore the key with time I didn’t have. So I guess people in the same situation would think similarly.
As I said to the other reply, seasons and expansions vary and it is normal that some seasons feel better for various reasons. I’m just judging the specific change and not whether it is the magic trick that will make s2 the best we had so far skyrocketing participation.
Think of it like this, take your favorite season and imagine how it would be if you had this mechanic. Would you like it? Then it’s a good change.

Idk the way I play is usually I would do my 10s and 11s fairly early, meaning almost no depletes and then I would go hunting for gear where the key level doesn’t really matter. Then on alts it’s more about specific dungeons than key level.

Again idk how others are playing but to me having to time all 12s just so your keys don’t deplete bellow 12 is kinda meh, I mean if you can time all 12s you kinda don’t need to worry about depleting bellow 12s.

As it stands,bthe change affects the hc grp , while all the rest get the pleb treatment.

My main is at 2.7k currently and i doubt ill be pushing any more. I like the +10/ +11 range.

That also means im not allowed to enjoy a much better ruleset though? Kinda crappy. The mount/teleport rewards felt legit and not smthng extremely hard to accomplish: but neither easy, getting 2k rio as a PUG, with endless queues, loads of fail/ragequit grps really pushes difficulty many notches up.

True but sometimes a key can get depleted simply out of your control. Say as a DPS there is pretty much nothing I can do if I see the tank simply :clown_face: around. If anything, me speaking up about will probs cause the tank to just ragequit anyway.
And having your vault weekly +10 key bricked cause you got unlocky with a clown who score wise should have been able to do the dungeon just fine…

I mean if it’s a monkey behind the keyboard I usually speak up and they do leave, but I feel better that the run is over sooner. Again idk the way I approach things the KSL doesn’t really seem all that enticing.

Naw, you just can’t see further than your nose when it comes to action and consequence.

People that can time 12s and get that achevement 99% of cases steamroll through anything lower than a 12. In the case of +7 and +8 ONE DD can carry the whole dungeon basically. And if that person is a healer or a tank, they have even more carry potential…

It makes no sense at all to do it this way. Other than to give $$ to boosters and gameplay to alt-oholics. Its pure stupidity.

The ones that actually truggle in keys < +10 dont have the skill to time a +12 by defenition. So they will never acheive (or it will be a massive drag) to time multiple keys on +12.

So basically its a loose-loose in my eyes. The ones that can get it cant use it. The ones that need it cant get it. I dont see why this is necessary. Just remove depletes and get it over with.

Oh I am speaking mostly from doing your weekly vaults now. Not actively pushing score but still want the vault chore done.
And seeing people in 2.7k score ranged(done all +11s) fail miserably in a +10…
Had a run a few days ago. Dawn10. For vault chore so I didnt care much if it was a deplete or +2/+3 chest. The part from cathedral to the house with the 2nd mini boss where most people fly over. Had retridin who flew in last and he brought absolutely EVERY mob on the way.
I was simply sitting there flabbergasted. Like… HOOOW? Its worthy of those memes where a fail is so spectacular that its actually a win.
Guy even had the nerve to attack the tank for “omgez why you pull like this”.

But seriously. We are punching bags in pugs, it really hard to have an adult conversation with someone who isn’t an idiot when you spend 90% of the time dealing with idiots that try to blame you. My patience evaporates really quickly pugging. Someone could make a fair point and I’m just mad all the time. So many selfish players ruin this game, make you touchy.

Definitely can brick keys, since one person cannot save the key. But even a person that has timed a few 12s is by no means the perfect player that doesn’t make mistakes, if such thing even exists.

I mean I do know people (irl friends) that had 3200+ score in DF S2,3,4 and they were clueless what the mechanics of the dungeons were, like end of season 4 “I didn’t know Leymor has a frontal” bad.

1st boss of AV, didn’t know the name either but decided to look it up because “Leymor” is shorter to spell than “1st boss of AV”.

Anyhoo, I take back all I said. This is a terrible change and it impacts less than 1% of the community.

The guy who has got an 8 key and is still as picky as hell because hes scared his key will deplete if he doesn’t take “THE META” will still be in that position. People that should have a chance taken on them won’t. So it goes on.

Ah well, the frontal is on the tank, so usually to remove the trees on a side. Healers and dps do not really need to know.

While I won’t claim to be some super hardcore pro gamer and I make my own mistakes and are willing to own up to them. Others are so unhinged that even a small scent of something even remotely close to a critisism will throw them into a “omgez u toxec elitist. U dont pay my sub! U toxec I rrepOART you now!” frenzy.

We need a better system to prevent players from leaving group content, especially when it’s clear that they’re disrupting the experience for others. Random leaving can be incredibly frustrating and should not be tolerated.

Sure if you take a whole group that times 12+ regularly and put them in a 10 they will most likely streamroll it.
If you take one person that has done some 12s and has a 10 key and invites people that have done it on 10 previously, there is some chance of depletion or even worse people leaving mid key. I’m just saying worse since a completion can still give vault loot. Then, said person would have to time a 9, with a chance of getting bricked again, and then attempt a 10 for vault.
I said nothing about people struggling at 8s. I talked about people that are doing weekly 10s and don’t care about score, just their weekly vault slots. Among them, there must be some that could time some 12s if they cared for it.

Those aren’t the mistakes I usually make.

It’ll be things like…I use a Dr for shadowflame slash. My party stuns it.
