Latest destro changes look fantastic

I wasn’t optimistic after the previous iteration, but looking at the latest changes there’s some really cool stuff in there.

  • Soul Fire seems actually playable now.
  • Avatar of Destruction is back, albeit in different form, but Overfiends do look cool.
  • Demonfire Mastery speeding up CDF’s channel time is great.
  • Flame rifts
  • Lots of 2 point nodes reduced to 1. Destruction had the most bloated talent tree of all specs, so this is very much needed.

From the viewpoint of a casual who just wants to do flashy stuff, I’m overall very happy with this. If I do have to give a point of critique, it’s that the tree is a little top heavy. To get to the later talents, you need to take pretty much all the early talents, so there is no decision making. Due to this you feel starved for points later in the tree, because you have very few points left after picking some of the boring mandatory stuff like Imprived Chaosbolt.

I am not playing another season of “tab, immolate (wither), tab, immolate, tab, immolate” for AoE.

I am apalled that they are still not making Cata more accessible or baseline.

Demo all the way.

Cataclysm and Inferno has to be separated into two different talents. That Rain of Fire is a talent at all feels regressive.

You can pick Dimensional Ripper without taking Dimensional Rift so that’s not great.

All the other stuff actually looks good. Chances are I’ll dust off my Warlock for the next expansion

Agreed, bro. Looking forward to playing my favorite spec.
