LFG is full of BOOSTS and blizzard dont care

I made an identical thread a couple of weeks ago and it was closed by blizzard, providing the answer: Report the ads in the LFG tool and contact hacks@blizzard.com.

I don’t see blizzard fixing the issue with the advertisement spam in LFG any day soon, although there are many ideas on how to fix it.

I am only providing these threads for the context.

My man…is real money boosts against terms of the game? Yes or no? What are you talking about?
We dont need Boosters in the game and ofc we dont need fake boosted accounts to get in our group pretend they are PRO!

Id rather them not be there then for me to see dozens of them.

I wont use their “services” so i dont give a rats rears end if i dont see them.

Just discovered LFGSpamFilter last week or the week before after moaning for years about the damn WTS spam.

I might see one a search now and with the click of a button they are gone.

This still does not address those who do not even know of this addon and are subjected to this abuse. Yes, it is abuse. Abuse of their time as they have to filter out, mentally, the WTS ads. And they are thick sometimes in stacks of 5 or 6 with 2, 3 or even 4 rows in one single search.

And, yes, my opinion is that blizzard does nto care or they would do something about this. Have they ever done anything about this other than the 3 month ban cycle which does nothing at all and is more akin to lipservice so they can say they did something.

Tokens are more expensive then a sub. So Blizz is making more money with the boosts then normal players. From a business standpoint wow tokens were the best idea they ever had

neither do you… imagine blizz cultivating an audience not capable of killing hc denathrius and doing 15s in time over 15years being the problem…
i mean whos right doesnt matter since blizz messed up but still

how about this as punishment: as soon as you try to post something in lfg tool it randomizes every single letter you post into unreadable nonsense xD

I do, unlike you. Over 15 years raid difficulty skyrocketed that is one thing, second thing is M+ did not even exist and while dungeons might have been difficult at start, they were rather easy after a while even for most casual players.

Players average skill went up thought these years but difficulty went even faster.

That is why demand is higher. Not to mention its literally twice as fast to farm gold and buy boost than to actually try to get into groups or progress anything on your own.

well maybe i just dont understand what you would need 15s gear for if you arent using it anyway… i doubt gold farmers need 226 gear

Anyone who seriously thinks like this should just stop playing the game because you don’t need it for living. On of the stupidest arguments going around.

And the answer to that is always the same, to kill/do stuff faster, enjoy character/power progression, thats why people play RPGs in first place.

lol

ye but you havent earned it… its shallow and as soon as you step a foot into something around 10 people will meet you with hostility and contempt… what a way to play

They forced many players to leave trade chat.
Now they are going to force us to leave LFG too?

I dont understand.
If someone wants a boost can go to “BOOST ORIENTED” channel that they took over. Why i have to see them everywhere?

Just stop this blizz, makes no sense its gone out of control.

Blizzard  boosters and boost-buyers because it generates them a lot of :money_mouth_face: DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS YA’LL :moneybag: so as annoying as it is, sadly nothing will ever change.

WoW token sales add to a large portion of Activision-Blizzard’s quarterly earnings.

Doesn’t matter what you think, honestly. I can say you have not earned the right to play the game because of that nonsensical argument you made earlier. And this is another complete nonsense as people play for various different reasons.

However when you take away progression from casuals this is exactly what you get: bots, boosts, toxicity, elitists.

I was mythic raider with multiple CE, so you know, I actually think that mythic raids shouldn’t even reward gear if you want challenge but that would piss lots of players.

100% agree and blizzards response is to report advertisement in the LFG tool. I do it all the time and I have even done an experiment where I reported every WTS group in LFG (20-30 of them) only to see 15 WTS groups to be back up after 5 minutes and back to 30 after 15 minutes.

I wish they could add filters or something where players could choose not to see groups with certain keywords (that you can pick yourself), for example:

  • WTS, W T S, Boost, carry, Gold, www. , .com , com , Sale, Buy, selling, etc., etc.

how is it good? and what is exactly the difference to the overall game quality and experience of all players involved if you pay real money for gold and then use this gold to pay for a boost or to buy a boost directly for cash? how does that change anything really for these poor frecks stuck at 1700 getting kokblokd by people that should be playing 1000 rating higher and basically pushing the undeserving lower skilled/geared players infront of them? how is any kind of boosting good for the game?

Why? Effectively in what does it impact your experience of the game that other players decide to buy boosts with gold?
There have been smurfs and boosters for ages in OW and they never stopped anyone from climbing the ranks if they’re good enough, obviously it kinda sucks that games can be harder sometimes but it’s how it is, gold boosts aren’t against ToS.

and its what keeps alot of people unsubbed as well while in the process degrading wow into a cheap mobile pay to win cash store game where any achievements no longer mean anything since all can be bought for real money

last time i checked, i found 32 groups of boosting ads in raid and mythic section.

Took a while to report them all. and i kind of feel it’s pointless to report. There’s too many of them with little to no consequence .

Imagine if this was like the potion exploit people did in BFA to level up a bit faster. NOW THEN, it would have hurt blizzard’s boost selling service, so they obviously took action immediately, reverted the xp gained and banned thousands of players in a week.

But your typical advertisements don’t actually hurt them. As a matter of fact, it helps them. More people who buy boosts= more people who buy tokens to pay those boosters= More profit.

Yes if someone pays with money BAN him…but if he paays with GOLDS it’s not against the rules
do you think this will change? because it is blizzard selling TOKEN not players
so at the end of the day blizzard making money when someone is boosting
this is something like politics …you know that they do something wrong…but you alone can’t change nothing and even if there are more people like you you all will change nothing  cause money rule the world

At some point the LFG tool may be renamed to LFB (looking for boost).
