LFR - Group loot sucks, no chance to win anything

Between the fact that not many items drop anyway, the change to group loot away from personal loot (FOR LFR) really sucks. It’s also hard to check whether people are rolling for greed or need. Can we please (just for LFR mode) go back to personal loot?

It’s horrible. I’ve did 14 fated bosses and not had the luck to win anything I could roll on. Watched another druid with legendary bracers win a need roll for the 265’s.

I can’t be bothered anymore. This is no longer viable as a casual gearing route, neither does it respect players time. What happened to ‘Bad Luck Protection’?

How is it different from Personal loot tho?
The only difference is you actively have to choose to roll…

Previously you got loot if you wanted or not. And even then it was possible to just don’t get anything at all.

legendary gear seems to not actually count against the Ilvl roll restriction.
Normally if you have something higher in the slot it shouldn’t let you roll or at least roll way lower.

They deleted the justice and valor vendors to replace them with a highly undesirable weekly chest type RNG system in BFA IIRC

Less total amount of items rewarded per run if I understand the complaints correctly as well as people potentially needing on stuff they don’t need

You people want full gear in 3 days- thats the problem

Group loot is fine

And ofc, if u dont like something, stop doing it

Its kinda simple.

The amount of time to get full gear will be almost equal to personal loot

No real drama here.

Anyway, u can cry and wont change a thing, u can accept it or u can quit.

Thats about it

Sure push more people to quit the game that seems like a fantastic idea for the health of the game

No it’s not it sucks.
Group loot is good for raiding as a guild, but in LFR it’s just a bad idea.

LFR 's lack of items is another terrible idea recycled from classic , the devs "strike again " chapter .
5 items for 25 people for a lfr is a blatant time sink .
Change this to 8 or 10 items for starters .
Remove the damn group loot this is retail not classic .

Which is in their right. As Personal Loot did it for them previously.

the new group Loot is the same as personal loot. The only difference is you can actively choose to not roll.

Also for the first time in years you finally see that the bosses actually drop loot instead of the items magically get to your inventory.

Nope.
It is mathematically (and practically) impossible to end with NO loot with the previous Personal Loot system.

There was a minimum off 2 items dropped each boss in a 20 man raid, 3 items in a typical LFR raid.

Every raid you did with atleast 10 bosses you were garuanteed to obtain ONE item. Usefull or not is a different topic.

If you were lucky you even obtained two in a raid. I only saw in one of two occasions a person got three items.

Which is utter crap. Have a 1 ilvl higher bad trinket should prevent me from rolling my bis one even at lower ilvl? Nonsense.

And why shoudlnt he ? He Has all rights to the loot. Most likely even more then you do because he carried you there.

Stop being entitlwd to others people drops

But yes i agree removal of personal loot was collosal mistake

You actively told them to quit if they don’t like it and believe it or not words like that can influence, you’re either ignorant or dumb to realise this isnt the case, I’ll go with the latter.

Have a very nice day

There were steps of sorts to remedy it. You can target pvp gear from vendors (it was so good players actively PvP’ed to get geared for PvE at SL’s start as both pve pillars were so bad lootwise in 9.0 that you took too much time to get beefy enough) and now we have dinars for raiding, mainly for weapons and trinkets (and the anduin ring for casters).

But those are your most important gear pieces - my mailemental trinket literally carries my dps, always being #1 or #2 on total damage dealt in a healer spec!

That said, M+ gets the short end of the stick with 298 (HC fated) being the final valor upgrade ilvl, and the weekly chest is capped at 304, with no ways to get 311 from the content which is the end boss ilvl in Mythic. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

…and M+'s limitations still seem a bit better  this is when I’m happy to be playing keys mainly. Just seems more worth than trouble, even though I don’t have the chance to target farm a belt before DF launches (to replace my leggo)

I wish we could buy gear with valor…

There is a cutoff point… Like probably normal to heroic to mythic ranges

I stated 3 facts and options; ur actualy
Dumb cuz u cant interpret a post

Dont bother:))

You call me dumb but your grammar is atrocious, and you never pushed it through as an option you pushed it through as a you don’t like it leave post.

OP would not create this thread if he would have won most rolls. And that is a fact

I think this is the essense of the issue here.
There is an element at Bliz that think players are still those frinndly co-operative bunch they were back in 2005. They aren’t.
There are probably more players who would vendor an item before giving it to someone who could use it as actual gear or even as transmog than there are players who would actually be Old School nice and offer to trade.

Someone suggest having the greed button just give you the vendor price of the loot to prevent this, not a bad idea I think.
If someone already has the item they shouldn’t be able to roll on it again (maybe this is a thing alread?).
