We where questing in Korthia and got during a fight DC’ed . After relogging we found ourselves on the platform of Morgreth the world boss. Ofc we got instantly killed and lost stygia. Trying to get this back resulted in yet another death. We ( Druif-Darkspear , Nynâeve-Darkspear) both lost around 3300 stygia because of this. Would be nice if Blizz gave that Stygia back .
Sadly that is how it works. You wont get your stygia back.
I’ve found I have to be really careful if I die on Morgeth to not run back in until I can safely locate my corpse with the stygia on it. Even then the lag means I’m spam clicking my body praying it will pick up what I’ve dropped before something else happens.
Personally I would love for Blizz to drop this death mechanic in the Maw and let the zone behave like any other when it comes to dying.

I lost nearly 5k stygia doing the bugged quest in the Maldraxxus invasion in warmode. Killed by rogues before I got back to my body several times until finally they got bored.
I knew I wouldn’t get it back but would love it if it were an option. Particularly with Morgeth being so hard to reach alive.
Sadly that’s how the maw is designed. If you die in impossible places or due to technological mishaps, you can wave your stygia goodbye.
sad to read we are not the only ones who lost Stygia because of the stupid design. The only thing is we did not die but got a dc so we should be on the same spot we where when the dc occured . This way it is Russian roulette if you decide to log out when in Korthia you never know where you will be the next time you log in:(
For Morgeth, I suggest dumping your Stygia into Korthian Armaments (require Friendly with Death’s Advance to purchase) before going to the world boss with minimal risk to your Stygia. Afterwards, you can sell the Armaments to any vendor to get your Stygia back (if it’s still less than 2h after purchase, of course)
