The “skill” involved in getting the value out of Tyrant revolves around summoning as many demons as possible while dodging mechanics, repositioning, avoiding possible cc/knock-back/knock-up/silence.
And even though you’d execute the above all perfectly, all of it may be thrown out the window if something happens to you during the Tyrant cast.
For god’s sake, Demo is the “Master Summoner” yet we gotta cast Tyrant, and affliction gets an instant Darkglare.
Also make dogs when they proc to be off cd. Its the only ability where it procs and you wait for a cd of 14secs.
They should be instant, too.
I mean they announced a master summoner but the feeling is more of an apprentice summoner.
100% agree, Tyrant will have to become instant to make the spec at least somewhat workable.
Dreadstalkers too, especialy since Demo has several surprisingly ok honor talents, yet our current honor talents are mandatory. Plus dreadstalkers also don’t have energy but fixed duration, instant cast will allow us to make most of it.
But honestly if we keep demo the way it is, like half of the abilities we have will have to become instant cast.

Agree with everything above, rotation feels sloggish unless you get a ton of demonic core procs. Then you have to deal with losing a ton of potential burst if your tyrant cast is messed up.
If Affli’s setup is shorter (Agony, Corr, UA, Soulrot, Phantom singularity) and they get to have their CD instant, so should we…
Or have us automatically summon demons with a longer duration when Tyrant is up… that might be okay too I guess, but instant cast is still simpler.
