Ive played wow since vanilla but these days I have only 1-2 hours to play because of family life. Pvp is the only content I have time for and Id love to bring some friends into it. The problem is that gettingn an alt geared and ready takes so much time that its basically inpossible for me, and my friends lose interrest before we even get to que together.
Solo que for dps is long, gearing is slow (time consuming if u will) and gap for fresh alt and a char ready for rated play is still to big. I imagine players in M+ and raids feel the same or simmilar.
In Midnight, my goal is to get all my chars to 1800 rating and I will do my best to achieve it. But that is only realistic if alt gearing begomes faster and more accessible. Stronger catchup systems or more account wide progression would make a huge difference for players with family and other responsabilities.
Gearing in pvp is the easiest it has ever been. Doing some world quest with wm on or join a crate farming group and you have allot of honor, bloody tokens and conquest gear in no time. You can also transfer honor to alts.
yes thats a lot of good points. I dont think its difficult to gear up a char, but its very timeconsuming and thats what this post is about. Honor is very good to send to other chars, but why not conquest? I havent seen many farming groups around this time either, but maybe there is more when a new exp/patch is out. But I dont want to wait for a new patch to collect the amount of conquest I need to play the game properly.
Imo if they just made warmode currency transferable and buffed up honor gear ilvl halfway through season to be closer it would be perfect. Its almost perfect now; if your class can use warmode gear for any off pieces and you already have any honor/conquest to send, its relatively fast to get decent gear. Weapons are the a pain though with them being behind like 2500cp
Yes, I know it was different back then timewise, thats why u didnt have alts to begin with.. My family situation is very different now than it was 15-20 years ago and I think there are many more who is in the same situation. Many have left the game because the time it takes to get a char ready for play is just to much. Thx for posting your thoughts and if you have any constructive to add feel free to do it
It literly takes daily win in random bg + epic bg + brawl + their quest completed and you are already around 50% geared add 4 wins in shuffle and you already close to 100% honor geared in less then 2hours if you win … + you have free honor + gear from super easy 2minute pvp world quest…
It literally took me 2h in total to fully gear up an alt. Not sure what you’re on about.
This i agree with. Boxes aren’t bad per se, but some classes want more crafted gear than others and frankly, the rng in the boxes IS in fact really bad.
Whole reason why we have only fotm rolling is because it takes hour from zero to max lvl and then another hour to bring new characters up to speed to max ilvl. Everyone have dozens of characters they spam que shuffle etc. Gearing and leveling have never been more easier, only sockets take time.
Search in group finder for “crate farming” groups (with warmode on), if you have some luck with the rotation you can get a lot of conquest, honour and bloody tokens quite quickly.
With warmode on do the “Bloody token” quests, and any other quests that award blood tokens as a secondary reward - some PvP World quests can give up to 1k.
Join Epic BGs and semi-afk if you need to do family stuff and can half pay attention to just toggle the mouse, free honour and CP if you queue into a pre-made on your faction, or at least a quick loss if you queue in against one.
With a bit of luck you can be decently geared in a few hours.

I guess Im frustrated as I just want to play the game to fast. When having a bunch of alts who is dinged but not ready for action I just wish for a nice sweet shortcut.
I saw you can atleast send conquest boxes to alts, but the RNG is maybe worse than the weekly vault
Remember that every single world quest in Warmode awards at least 100 bloody tokens while the pvp world quests award even more. You can get a lot of Warmonger gear (727) with a minimal time effort and also transform it for 4-set by just world questing and doing the weekly. You will also find occasional war crates for conquest and even more bloody tokens.
The 730 cloak is free to get, you get free crafting materials to get neck and rings after you win 1-3 bgs or arenas and with 2500 conq you get free weapons.
You need a minimum amount of honor if you buy at least the warmonger main pieces with bloody tokens, like 2-3 epic bgs are already sufficient.
I nearly have a fully geared alt (727 or 730 pieces, the difference is marginal) with like 3 hours of playing
