Me and my brother are leveling through wotlk with chromie leveling, but we haven't met any players

Hi.

So me and my brother decided to start wow again, and we both created new characters and picked wotlk chromie leveling.

We are now lvl 35, and we have only seen 2 players from our own faction (alliance), but we haven’t seen any horde.
We play with warmode on and we have hoped for some exciting pvp skirmishes and a feeling of danger and unpredictable moments.
I would live to see other players.

Is chromie time worth picking at all? Is it bugged? Or would it be better if we didn’t pick a timeline and just jumped straight into leveling without locking into wotlk?

Cheers.

Wrath will be one of the least picked timelines because it’s one of the least time-effective. Warlords, BfA and Legion will be the most populated ones.

You have better changes if you level through Legion or BFA. With that said, from TBC onwards zones have been pretty much empty. When they added CRZ, the zones became a bit more crowded again, but it’s still pretty much empty for the older zones.

WoD is pretty busy I have found - like barrens chat busy.

dungeons are full of players though.

regardless os which expansion you are doing.

most people spam level dungeons as you get 2-2,5 level per each dungeon with quests and they take 15-20 minutes each if you have decent teams.

Everyone is in Draenor. It’s actually really crowded there. :astonished:

Yes I know, but that has nothing to do with the OP.

There is a chart on Wowhead and many will just go for the most time efficient:-

Chromie Time Expansion Approximate Pace
Warlords of Draenor 12 hours
Legion 14 hours
Battle for Azeroth 16 hours
Mists of Pandaria 16 hours
Cataclysm 20 hours
Wrath of the Lich King 24 hours
The Burning Crusade 24 hours

This is probably affecting people’s choices when it come to where to level.

WOTLK is the worst expansion to level in so this is no surprise
