Yea, if equivalent of Trashgnomes were Gilgoblins from Nazjatar it wouldn’t be such a big deal.

I bet that they knew that the race is such garbage that they would have to give it extremely powerful racials to incentivize more than a handful of people to play it.

Yeah pretty much. I genuinely think Mechagnomes wouldn’t be received nearly as negatively as they are now, if they were released with Gilgoblins. Rather than a completely new race that use the goblin rig but have their own unique animations, customizations, etc.
Like people might actually accept Mechagnomes as an allied race in that scenario. I think Blizz realizes (or in reality should) that they’ve made a huge mistake.

Every allied race is a variation of an existing one.
Humans - humans
NElves - Nighborne
Blelves - Velves
Goblin - vulpera
Dwarves - Edgy dwarves
Tauren - cooler tauren
Dreanei - dreanei
Orcs - orcs
Gnomes - mechagnomes
Complaining a gnome got a variant implies you play a gnome and is upset the gnome variant you get is not to your liking.
All allied races vary in quality, and the mecha gnomes are by far not the worst one quality-wise.
Just wait for the next pair, worgen and the undead variants might be interesting

I think they are ok tbh. And have great racials.
I don’t really like cute foxes Horde-side, but I guess some people do. Wish we got T2 style (Mecha Orcs or whatever) Orcs instead.
Wow you’re right, that thread is nowhere to be found. I guess we’re only allowed to praise mecha gnomes and how amazing they are.

I know this, and i’m not complaining that Gnomes get a variant. I’m complaining about the HUGE lack of creativity and effort that went into making the Gnomes allied race slot .While the Horde equivalent (the Goblins) gets an ENTIRELY NEW race.
Do you see the disparity between the two?
Vulpera where an overwhelmingly asked for race before they were even considered for the Goblin slot. So many megathreads about them since 2017 blizzcon trailer. While literally almost nobody wanted the Mechagnomes as an allied race.
Most people even expected the Mechagnomes to be just a customization option. That just shows how people think of the Mechagnomes, not as an allied race but as a customization.

People always try to find something to complain about. I mean new races really? If you dislike them then don’t play them what is the problem if there are people who might enjoy the new races and would love to play them? Does it hinder your fun if they get a new race they like? What is the point of this rant? Are you so self-centered that every new thing in the game has to revolve around your own specific taste? Just grow up and stop posting nonsense on the forums.

Yeah because you can see the behavior of the person because of what faction they chose. I play both faction and unlike you im mature enough to measure people on things that matter and not their faction choice in an online game. But it is okay you seem to be a troll, keep going.

I was actually quite sad to see nightborne part of Horde and only because some night elf NPC insulted them. After all I did for suramar I feel like backstabbed twice over.
And then I have this achievement about being exalted with Zandalari tribe on my night elves and all that.
It seems that whoever my character helps just goes Horde. So i wish i could just be there somewhere in Icecrown as Bolvars private dancer and not help anyone any more ever again.

Their mechanical limbs are completely new models, not reskins, and have moving parts and such.
Vulpera have been in the picture longer than mechagnomes, so of course there were more threads about it.
And I’ve seen plenty of people excited about them when they were revealed.
Every allied race could’ve been a customization option. People mention that a lot.

Generally Horde players support Trashgnome stuff, there a few honest exceptions among them like the Tauren guy above. There is a reason behind existance of 2 factions I hope you are aware of that? You are really mature yea accusing me with being a troll because I criticized your forum character.
You are posting from a 22 LvL Alliance alt and trying to defend something that is disliked by majority of Alliance players. I don’t like such behaviour.
Vulpera is a new race. Mechagnomes isn’t. Vulpera is wanted by almost everyone. Mechagnomes aren’t.
Never planned to. Never going to. Never wanted to.
Look at all these people everywhere on the forums. Praising the Mechagnomes and showing how they are going to enjoy them and actually look forward for them. Oh wait are you telling me it’s only 5 people? Wow who would have guessed. Oh well let them enjoy it while thousands of others won’t, surely that won’t make anyone reroll to the faction that got the better races right?
It hinders my fun when the Horde gets another race they asked for, while the Alliance gets an afterthought yes. But then again that has been a recurring theme so far in BFA really. I’m not really a person who cries “HORDE BIAS WHAT IS THIS BLIZZ” everytime the Horde gets something. But after the Mechagnomes, enough is enough.
I must seek forgiveness then! I mean how dare I dislike something that other people disliked too. How dare I have an opinion of my own and criticize something I don’t like.
