Metzen will add Ogres and Nagas one day

Look what happened with Dracthyr, some would say they would have rather had the bigger buff version.

Ogres gonna be shrunk down for sure.

I’d love Sethrak myself.

ofc they gonen be nerfed in size, but aslong as they are tauren / kultirian size, I am happy

Even The Vrykul have the same size like the Ogres

Nagas won’t be playable but ogres do make sense as a Horde race. The issue is now which race will the Alliance get? Another boring human type?

Furbolg as an night elf ally

I want to agree with this too

He might repair a new expansion into a better one if something comes good designed in 10.1 and 10.2

We will get those skinny kul tiran humans as a “new” race lmao.

Never understood the fascination with ogres, but so many people seem to want them for so many years, so I hope it happens for them really.

Now gimme my Gnolls

neither do nightborne…

If Broken would ever be playable it would be Alliance they would join as Broken moved in to Exodar back in cata and is still living there, even saw them working togheter with the Draenai in legion when they were attacked by the Legion in Exodar. If they join the horde it would be another High elf problem caused by Blizzard.

There is a toy that changes you to a Vrykul and you are smaller than regular Vrykul but taller or slightly taller than other playable races. Taller than most playable races and slightly taller than Tauren or Kultiran and still fit through a door. So if they shrunk the Vrykul and Ogre to that size as the toy makes you, you still be a giant among the races.

Well there is some ogres that is the same size as tauren. One is just outside the gates of Orgrimmar but I think it would be better Ogres and Vrykul be the size of the Toy I mentioned eariler.

I really like the new Furbolg and the new Gnolls and the gnolls new found magic Rot. Fits perfect for my vision of Skaven race so thumbs up :+1: for that Blizzard.

Well I would rather if it was back straight forsaken male as they are Identical to the Defias rogues in the dead mines, as for me I think the Kultiran skinny humans are abit…too skinny. I Have a forsaken undead male rogue and it just perfect that I would like to have a living human version of it on the Alliance side, would race change my Main Alliance Rogue in an instant. As the forsaken is the horde version for human except they are undead.

Although would like if the humans had new voice actor as the old one is starting to take its age and sounds weird. Just as the Mag’har orcs got a new voice actor for their race.

And so too could the Horde get their Stormwind human but has the customizations as undead would with bones sticking out on the arms and legs and feet and back and jaw falling off or is without a jaw etc

Ogres have always been a part of the Horde and came through the Dark Portal with the original Horde.
While some of them have been hostile to everything. On several occasions Ogres have taken part of Horde military offesnives.

Ogres are not the bumbling idiots that they are portrayed as. Especially when you have the rise of the Ogre Magi. It would add Arcane and magical power as well as physical strength to the Horde. The Orcs were enslaved by the Ogres once and Highmaul shows the potential of Ogres.

There seems to be an objection that the Alliance does not have some beastial looking races. Vrykul could be an excellent addition to the Alliance and opponent of the Ogres.

Some would want the High Elves but there really is no differences visually between High - Blood - Void elves.

He is not overseeing anything in the underling position he have right now.

Still not getting it I see. Its NOT the look. The void elves lack the story, lore and the allegiance to the Alliance that the Alliance High elves have. The Void elves , Umbric and his followers are an unknown group who no one has ever heard about…ever in Warcraft history. And they only have allegiance to the Allliance as long as Alleria teaches them (Umbric own words). When she has nothing more to teach them, they will have no allegiance to the Alliance anymore. I can not understand why Blizzard choosed to create this unknown group of 20 people instead of the Alliance High elves as playable, particularly the Silver Covenant High elves. Train her sisters soldiers and gather the other High elves loyal to the Alliance. Their Banner color Silver, Blue and White which is different from the other Alliance races but instead they use purple and gold which Night elf and Dreanai also have. So Alleria should have trained the Silver covenant first then added Umbric and his follower into the ranks of Silver covenant later. But thats not what Blizzard did and just copy paste the Blood elves theme, even their mount is a identical to the blood elves the hawk strider so its seems more Blizzard was trying…again please the Horde players (and not Alliance players) and try to get them to go over to the Alliance as they are no different than the Blood elves. Hell they even have the old Blood elf theme from TBC of finding the strongest and more dangerous magic, which was the blood elf identity back in TBC. And then Blizzard just left the Void elves unfinished. Which makes the Void elves a failure of a race compared to all the other races in the game.

Some of the Void elf fans wants to change the void elves that they were never meant to be. A naga, a faceless creature or K’thir aka Mindflayer from DnD which was never the Idea for void elves. Void elves are just elves using the void and Alleria wants it to be for Good use. So I say ok give us Silver Covenant High elves as playable and they can destroy the void elves to their hearts content. Changing the Void elves into a creature of the void as the void elf fans want, N’zoth eyes even if N’zoth did not create them and tentacle arm or corrupted arm. tentacles coming out of its mouth.

oh…so this is really, really the race they want aka “NOT” a void elf. Just a Creature of the void using void magic. It has everything they want. Which is why I given up on the void elves and Just want the Silver Covenant High elves playable and they can do want ever they want with the void elves.

Only Ogres from Outland that the Old Horde enslaved were bumbling idiots because in old Outland, the Ogres were more primitive race that had not discoverd magic yet as the Ogres in AU Draenor did (Which also built an Empire of magic and enslaved the Orcs). So that the Ogres from Outland could evolve but never did. The Orcs feared the Ogres in the past but when they became the Horde after drinking the felblood, they were no longer afraid and saw the Ogres to be a boon to the Horde as a workforce but also as a military force if needed.

well in a way we do already have naga in both horde and alliance through the demonhunters, but not sure how it is now, with illidan gone.

Even though I understood why Blizzard could not just introduce High Elves after giving Blood Elves to the horde, I facepalmed hard when the Void Elves were announced; after all, they contradicted every argument against High Elves that Blizzard had made before. They were inserted into the story with a soft retcon, I still find their introduction story lame AF and the end of the scenario, you could see Blood Elf- and High Elf-NPC in Telogrus, happy to “learn the ways of the Void without the corruption”.
I’m still not sure if they already planned to give them normal skin and hair colors back then (and were just doing it slowly, step-by-step) or it really was a idea that came to mind later. But as much as I disliked the introduction of this Allied Race, I like the “middle ground” solution they found.

On topic:
Had someone told me “Ogres? Hah, before that, they will introduce playable cyborgs, kung fu-pandas, half-demons, werewolves, foxpeople and dragons!” 15 years ago, I would have laughed.

The only thing left on my WoW-wishlist now is playable ogres.

I’m not aware of what function Metzen will have but I’d be surprised if it’s anything more than a consultant.

i think metzen is washed out
he was cool and all now he can go retire.

we need young fresh developers who actually love WoW and want to make the best of it
