Midnight beta: Cooldown manager feedback

I couldn’t find a dedicated thread for this, but wanted to give some feedback on the current state of the cooldown manager as someone who has some accessibility issues due to some delayed visual information processing and sensory problems.

Currently, I do not think that the current state of the CD manager is adequate. This is because of the lack of customisability - e.g. I cannot change the layout beyond having everything sit in rows. While I can change the number of rows, I cannot control how many abilities will sit in each row, which leads to cooldowns being clustered in patterns that are more difficult to visually parse. I would like to be able to select where each ability sits separately, like you can with weak auras.

Additionally, the cooldowns can only be displayed as icons. I would ideally like the option to show some cooldowns as bars, as for some people these are easier to visually parse.

Finally, I struggle greatly with visual clutter. The more clutter on the screen, the harder it is for me to actually process information, as it causes sensory overload. Because of this, I set up my current weakauras to only show abilities when they are available to use (aka not on cooldown) as this vastly reduces the amount of information on my screen, which makes the game more accessible to me. Currently you can only set the cooldown manager to: 1) always off, 2) always on, or 3) only show in combat. I want to be able to set it to hide individual abilities when they are on cooldown.

I very much agree. Especially with that last part. I only wish to see things that are relevant at this moment.
WoW is already visually very busy, this just adds to it.

I also want to add I really dislike buffs being in fixed locations, instead of together.
If I track 3 buffs, let’s say A, B and C. I don’t want a gap between A and C because I don’t have buff B.
The same applies to cooldowns. When an ability is on cooldown, but still showing, I have to look at the icon and process that is on cooldown, then move on to the next icon. Do this for every icon until I find one I can press.

I used dynamic groups in weakauras constantly to manage the amount of information on screen. I build my own weakauras as well, as a standard pack was too overwhelming.
For me the information needs to be concise and easy to parse.
