Mistweaver hotfix coming

For what it’s worth, playing around with this I think that limiting the maximum hot extension duration to something around 150% of the original duration would have made Rising Mists more competitive compared to Paladins’ Glimmer of Light.

Also, with the 100% cap its now fairly easy to extend Renewing Mists to their limits, hence there isn’t much left to master regarding the “easy to learn, hard to master” paradigm.

this nerf is a joke. oom so fast because of the renewing

Funnily enough, the highest scored M+ clear right now has a Rising Mist healer at the moment: https://raider.io/mythic-plus-runs/season-bfa-4/12586019-26-operation-mechagon-junkyard

(On a lower level, up to 17s, I did not notice any change in my healing or damage output. I did drop some haste for more versatility and a TD2 corruption, but that’s about it.)

sorry for late reply , but cmon you have to be jokin right ? the mana/healing is not good for MW monks now , lets be honest. ive never seen a glimmerdin run oom when he has nice gear , the build took more gearin then a glimmer din and had a way higher skill cap. idk what you are talking about if you would ever say thats not true.

and i think its very clear this “nerf” was just a smack to the head with a baseball bat to make it dead , since the nerf there is NO top 300 Rising mist healer anymore in the raid. its not a nerf , it was a death sentence.

its more like 98 or 99 percentile after checkinh warcraft logs

I imagine that this topic is no longer being watched by Blizzard and the nerf has been considered a job well done and they’ve moved on, but sheesh this has actually killed the spec into irrelevance.

I’ve tried Rising Mist and Upwelling since the nerf in the last few weeks of Mythic raids and both are so thoroughly noncompetitive that it’s ridiculous. The raw HPS ceiling of either spec seems to be about 170k-180k and I’ve bounced this around in the Monk discord channel who seem to agree this is about the ceiling.

By comparison, the Holy Paladin in my guild is doing 270-280k raw HPS on every fight - 100k more than the Monk ceiling. The Holy Priest and Disc Priest ceilings seem to be about 220-240k HPS, so 40-50k ahead of either Monk talent. That doesn’t even being to touch on the utility that these classes bring compared to Mistweaver (hint:- MW brings nothing).

Then there’s corruption. The Monk ceiling is really not going to move much with increased corruption as there’s no stand out ‘good’ one to go with now. Meanwhile, Paladin’s will continue to stack more and more Ineffable Truth to the point of having almost 100% wings uptime - I’m expecting to see 350k+ raw HPS from Paladins before the end of the expansion.

Let’s not forget the damage output as well - burst and sustained. Holy paladins are bursting for 80-100k dps on the pull if using their cooldowns. Monk can just about limp to 30k if lucky.

Honestly, the degenerate EnV blanket Rising Mist needed to be nerfed. But, instead, it’s been thoroughly crippled. It’s barely on par with Upwelling which is already bottom of the healer specs by a substantial margin and there’s honestly no point in bringing a Mistweaver to any Mythic raid content any more. Just drop a healer, 3 heal it with Paladins & Priests and job done.
