I hate how the game balanced around raiding, I’m M+ player and best trinkets always are from mythic raiding for M+ which doesn’t make sense to me personally
Either make best AoE trinket comes from M+ (based on blizzard past record I highly doubt it) or make achievement if I pass certain rating in M+ I can purchase mythic item from the raid and for godsake do not attach it to turbo boost
This season you also need boots for reshii wraps which ofcourse only drops from raid, and you wanna unlock mythic+ trinkets and these boots ofcourse you need a mythic kill
Something tells me they hate non raiders that only do mythic+ dungeons.
I still find it funny that a post about mythic raiding only comes once every 6 months, and only in the context of M+ players complaining about loot.
The fact that M+ is a thousand times more popular and has been receiving nonstop improvements in every patch while raiding is left to rot just makes it funnier when their audience complains about being neglected.
I don’t hate M+ (don’t love it either) but the crown moment of my leaving WoW is to watch M+ (and most of the game) rendered unfun because blizzard chose to “fix” the weakaura issue by restricting addons (instead of making M raiding 10 man), which cascaded into the complete removal of some of the best quality of life features WoW ever had.
Dont forget that the whole discourse of blizzard with addons was to adress raiders abusing WA to cheese encounters. M+ is left to rot though… As you pointed out.
I said raiding was left to rot. M+ is only getting “mildly” whacked due to the addon thing. I’m not even sure whether M+ relied on convoluted WA’s even among the highest pushers, so obviously it really sucks what you guys will have to go through.
The WA issue in raiding isn’t about cheesing, it’s necessary. The problem is the roster size. 40 man molten core style raids had basically one mechanic: don’t stand in the fire. Then as the roster size crept down we got more and more complex tactics that relied on group coordination. At this point mechanics that require specific WA-s are all about coordinating multiple people because we can’t read each other’s minds.
Dungeons are the same, but because of the small roster only 2-3 people are targeted and they can just spontaneously spread to the pillars on halls of atonement last boss, tazavesh last boss, puzzle boss etc…
In a raid the same mechanics (upscaled to 20) need addons, or you can’t do them consistently. And consistency is key in prog raiding. Even WITH these WAs it takes hundreds of pulls.
IMO blizzard should forget about the restricting addons thing and just make mythic raiding 10 man and remove the raid ID lock. This eliminates the need for these trashy WAs while making it accessible to the general pugging audience. The argument in the past was that “high end raiding is about coordination, hence it should belong to guilds” but lately any form of encounter coordination has been done by addons. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.
I know you guys would rather not have any incentive to go raid at all, but I think it’s much better to improve content people dislike/can’t access, instead of isolating every player into a tiny island of content that they get bored of halfway in the season.
As tank you have to keep track of defenses or you just die, as well as track of interrupts and this is heavily getting nerfed, as you can no longer keep track of interrupts from others.
This makes pugging even harder in m+
Alto midnight changes suggest tracking defensives is gonna be toned down regardless as their no longer need to track some buffs, while tracking is still possible if i have to believe others, but only time will tell.
I never cared about raiding since shadowlands castle natria i am done because of all the drama, and they only made it worse, i maybe consider raiding again if they make it possible to pug at mythic level and tone raids down, i do not want to be guilt tripped into raiding couple days every week for nothing just to gear up other players, i just want to raid maybe at max 1 month per season at most and be done with it and focus on doing mythic+ dungeons that i enjoy a lot more.
Having these BiS items for mythic+ dungeons drop from raid needs to stop it creates unfair playing field for if you want to be bleeding edge pushing keys, as its now more about raiding rather then being actual good player.
