[N-RP] Temple of the Moon AD - A Community Discord

Hello all! This is nascent idea is very much still in the works, but after creating a barebones discord server I’d love to see if there’s any interest, so…

Welcome to the Temple of the Moon.

This is a community project intent on focusing on all things Elune, and creating a space for the devout of Argent Dawn!
Whilst we welcome any and all who are interested and wish to involve themselves in this type of roleplay, either as practitioners or observers, we also want to not massively branch out, remaining centred around RPers of the Sisterhood, acolytes, and any others who worship the Moon Goddess.
Any who wish to simply remain in the know regarding event organisation are also more than welcome to join.

This community will, ideally, be a collaborative effort to discuss matters of lore and roleplay surrounding the worship of Elune, and a space where any RP resources and headcanon or speculation can be shared and flourish!

Events

We hope to organise our own events as well as advertise any others that may be relevant to followers of Elune!

Guild Roleplay

Any guilds/guild members who wish to join the community, either as an individual or representing their guild, are more than welcome to do so! We will also have a guild embassy channel should you wish to advertise and recruit.

Interested in joining?

Here is a link to our server: https://discord.gg/N2UKxNKRCQ
A link can also be found in the Argent Dawn EU Roleplay community-discords channel.
Any questions? You may contact me here on the forums or directly, through mutual discord servers.
You can find me as Thaera Evergloam in the following:

  • Argent Dawn EU Roleplay
  • Amirdrassil
  • Darkshire Archives
  • Gilneas Denizens AD-EU
  • The Thalassian Concord
  • Diaspora of Dalaran
  • Stormwind

You may also find me as Ardennae Duskvale and/or Amithil Dawnflare in the following:

  • Horde AD RP Community

We are absolutely open to suggestions and changes, or mergers with any similar community efforts.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and hope to see you soon!

Best of luck with this initiative! While I only own a priestess alt for event purposes, it’s fun to see others discuss the ins and outs of Elune worship.

Giving this a little boost so the topic doesn’t close just yet, we’re 27 members strong now and always accepting more! :crescent_moon:

Hi there! If you’re part of any of the discords mentioned in my original post, you should be able to DM me directly with any questions. Alternatively, you can reach out to me in-game via a whisper or mail to my character (Herapeutic)

In general, the first port of call I’d suggest for getting involed is right here on the forums. There are plenty of threads that are great sources of information, ideas and inspiration, and event discussions! It might feel a bit overwhelming at first since the discussions can be lengthy but they’re a super handy resource to dip in and out of, and to keep up with the latest goings on that might interest you. A couple off the top of my head are:

[RP Info] Night Elf Roleplay - https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/rp-info-night-elf-roleplay/496915
A thread for all things kaldorei such as lore (which can help you build your character) and most importantly, events! You’ll find plenty of event ideas and details here such as druid moots, cultural celebrations, sentinel hunts, watcher ceremonies, even some mage-centred events, etc. Sometimes guilds will also advertise that they’re recruiting here too, if not in their own forum threads.
Argent Dawn Roleplay Compendium - https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/argent-dawn-roleplay-compendium/571764
This is more of a general thread rather than specifically relating to night elf RP, but it’s a great resource full of advice on how to get started, finding a community, and in-game tips and tricks.

If you’re interested in joining an RP guild at all, you’ll definitely find them recruiting in the forums or on the Argent Archives website, if not in-game.
Speaking of Argent Archives, you’ll find that a lot of the event information you may find here on the forums is also posted there, along with screenshots, campaigns, newspapers, as well as people detailing their own adventures.

If you’re interested in joining discords in order to keep up with the goings-on and chat to fellow rpers in a more casual setting, I’d suggest joining ones like ‘Argent Dawn EU Roleplay’ or for night elf RP specifically, ‘Amirdrassil.’ There are about 550-ish people in the Amirdrassil discord so there’s plenty of like-minded folk to get chatting with!
There are also more specific discords like our Temple of the Moon server advertised here, ‘Emerald Enclave’ and ‘Weald of Seradane’ for druids, ‘The Wardens,’ ‘Fel Hammer’ for demon hunters, and plenty more I’m sure!

If you’d rather keep your connections in-game for now before branching out, my advice would be to get out there and throw yourself into some open world RP. It can feel a little daunting sometimes, especially at the beginning, but it can be very rewarding and helps you to build your character along as you go! Trying to flesh out a full profile all in one go can be tricky, so don’t stress about that too much. With neighbourhoods and housing coming soon, I imagine some RP communities will be making their own public neighbourhoods soon so that could also be a good way to have a look around and get stuck in. For now, Stormwind is always busy but for more night-elf centric RP, I’d suggest having a look around places such as:

  • Ashenvale (definitely one of the more active hubs where nelf RPers congregate)
  • Amirdrassil (in the Dragon Isles, there’s also a direct portal in the back Stormwind portal room)
  • Darkshore
  • Duskwood
  • Feralas
  • Mount Hyjal
  • Moonglade
  • Stonetalon Mountains
  • The Hinterlands
  • Zones in the Broken Isles such as Val’sharah, Azsuna, and to a certain extent Suramar.

Hope this info helps! Glad to meet a new night elf, and hope to see you around :light_blue_heart:
