I’m also kind of creeped out by the notifications for likes… I can follow who exactly liked my posts and who didn’t? That makes it so… personal. I don’t like it.
Yeah, there are some problems with that. I’ve seen some possible solutions on the General forum, but they don’t work for me. I think I’m going to switch to either this character or to Empedocles, for as long as I can’t post with Theronarum…
Seems like the forums think that all characters are separate accounts. I also get notifications on Theronarum that I don’t get on this char. Interesting…
Blizzard had to change the forum software they’re now using (Discourse) a lot to allow us to post with our WoW characters. It’s fascinating how they did it, every character has its own account – but I think that if we give them a little more time, they’ll implement something that ‘shares’ the characters’ accounts, so that apart from the name and the avatar, they become the same.
Yes, that’s possible. I am afraid that the same goes for flags, and that we’re able to report a post multiple times as well…
EDIT
More proof that you have multiple accounts: you cannot edit your own post when you switch to another character. If I switch to Thero, I no longer can edit Haiete’s replies.
That’s quite worrisome yeah. I do wonder if the flag system works the same as the ‘Like’ button.
It would be kind of weird seeing who is reporting you.
I’m working on a guide that explains how flags work, since it’s a very interesting (but risky) system. In short, flags are the same as reports and are anonymous, but a certain amount of flags will trigger an automatic forum response.
Another fun observation: Not only does this Wimbert have a different number of counted posts, when I post in my german realm forum (I just guessed that it might count them seperately for each sub-forum?), and I don’t get the same notifications at both places… No, the character even has a different number of achievement points… what?
Still couldn’t include in that quote a different quote. I tried to quote you quoting me but it all appeared as if you were the one who typed what I did.
