Worgen are now what dwarves are to humans for night elves, just a side-kick that’ll never get its lore separated from the overlord race. Sadly, at this point I don’t expect anything will happen with Gilneas. That dream died when their army all went to Darkshore.
I’ll have to admit that the humans have been dealt a harsh hand as well since Cata. Imagine having three out of four of your race’s zones (I’m counting Burning Steppes too because Morgan) turned into a literal pop culture reference full of memes. Ouch.
Look, I understand the desire of human fans to say that there is no human potential. And if you look closely, it probably doesn’t really exist. But they’re tired and fed up with defending or justifying a race in a fantasy game, and that’s understandable. But in the end this human potential has become part of the problem that other races - and with it their fanbase - simply feel unimportant or irrelevant. Then there are a few trolls who also make it worse with Human Superior, like a certain Arthur, and you’ve created a toxic situation that’s keeping up in the forum.
