Noob pet collector in need of help

Hey!

I like collecting pets, and I need more. But I can’t really decide where to begin collecting these days.

I need a vote, or a very decisive person to tell me what area or continent to focus on.

You don’t seem terribly noob. You have quite a lot.

Here is your collection:

Xu-Fu's Pet Battle Strategies

Use the filters. Tradable, not Collected. I see a few easy and/or cheap to start with:
Accursed Hexxer
Alarm-O-Dog
Corlain Falcon
Firefly
Frenzied Cottontail
Leper Rat
Restored Revenant
Thunder Lizard Runt
Utility Mechanoclaw

Then some more that will be variously harder or more expensive.

That’s one list.

Now look at your Safari achievements. Also use the filters on your collection.

Not Tradable, not Collected.

There are a huge numbers of easy to capture pets there. Get the addon Pet Tracker and simply fly around every zone. It will show you what pets in the zone you ar missing. You can find their exact spot through Wowhead or WarcraftPets.com

I suggest starting in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. You don’t have so many to pick up there. Just tick them off as you fly around in your Battle Safari achievement.

Get the Battle Safari achievement.

Then go back to Legion and work through the Broken Isles Safari.

And so on.

By breeds do you mean like P/P?

I had an addon back in Legion that displayed some information about pets. Can’t remember exactly wha it was called.

I don’t do PvP pet battles anymore, only the PvE aspect of it. If that helps.

Edit, the site says I have 7 duplicates. Which one of these should I keep?

Yes. P/P breed has the most Power. S/S fastest Speed. H/H highest Health.

Why do you want to delete your duplicates? It would make sense if you had too many pets or never intended to use them. But I know some people really want only one of everything.

Keep the S/S Albino Chimaeraling

Your Cogblade Raptors are identical, so either.

Keep the S/S Fiendish Imp

Keep the P/P Moonshell Crab

Keep and level the S/S Qiraji Guardling, though the P/P is good as well.

Restless Shadeling - both are good but H/H is a bit better.

Stunted Shardhorn - both breeds are equally good, though it isn’t a pet that is used much in battling

Why do you want to delete your duplicates?

I feel it makes my total pet count dishonest, and then I feel like a liar.

Will sort out who to keep based on your post, when I get home after work.

Sorry to be tardy to the party, but I would also make getting the “Pet Portals” such as Interdimensional Pet Portal that allow you to expand your collections too, just so you don’t run out of capacity
