Notable Differences Between Cataclsym Classic 4.4.0 and Original Cataclysm 4.0.3a

As Deathwing approaches, we want Classic progression players to know about some features from original Cataclysm (4.0.3a) that are going to differ in the Cataclysm Classic pre-patch (4.4.0).

Hunter Pets

Hunter pets will function differently in the 4.4.0 Cataclysm Classic Pre-patch than they did in original Cataclysm patch 4.0.3a.

In original Cataclysm, Hunter players were able to place 5 pets in their stable and summon them anywhere in the world.

Initially in patch 4.4.0, Hunter pets will work the same way they do in Wrath Classic. Hunters will continue to be able to summon 1 pet and will need to go to a Stablemaster to switch to a different one. We will update this Hunter functionality with the Cataclysm Classic expansion content launch (or sooner).

Additionally, original Cataclysm launched with Pet Aggressive stance, and Pet Assist stance later replaced Pet Aggressive stance in patch 4.2.0. We plan to have Pet Aggressive stance in place with 4.4.0, and then add Pet Assist stance in a future update.

Void Storage

Void Storage was originally added to World of Warcraft in the 4.3.0 patch. In Cataclysm Classic, we’re implementing a new Collections feature, as well as account-wide Transmogrification. This makes Void Storage largely unnecessary for holding your Transmog items.

It is our intention to not add the Void Storage feature to Cataclysm Classic.

Guild Perks

The Guild Perks system has been streamlined for Cataclysm Classic. Guilds themselves do not gain levels, and item rewards are granted as players level up their guild reputation. In Cataclsym Classic, many perks are granted to guild members immediately upon joining a guild, and many perks that were associated with Guilds in original Cataclysm are now granted to all players by default.

Two perks from original Cataclysm will not be available in Cataclysm Classic: Have Group, Will Travel and Cash Flow.

Guild Finder and Guild Events Calendar

In original Cataclysm patch 4.1.0, a Guild Finder system and a Guild Events Calendar were added to World of Warcraft. We intend to add the Guild Finder and the Guild Events Calendar to Cataclysm Classic in a future patch, after the launch of Cataclysm content.

Barbershop Closed Temporarily for Worgen

At the start of pre-patch, Worgen will not be able to access the Barbershop. Access will arrive in an update soon.

Increased Drops in Wrath Classic Dungeons

As detailed here, these increased drop rates for Wrath Classic dungeons will continue throughout the Cataclysm Classic pre-patch (and possibly thereafter).

Any comment on custom glyphs added in WOTLK Classic still functioning? Especially Omen of Clarity Glyph for druids, Should not be a thing.

SURELY all the class bugs that currently exist on the beta and the ptr will be gone when prepatch goes live :slight_smile:

So the short version is
You ran out of time
and we have to play with a worse pet system than what we had in wrath

Maybe just keep call stable master with the 5 minute cooldown
instead of sending hunters to their stables every time they pug a dungeon?

this just reads like “Sorry guys, Aggrend took all our ressources for SoD”. Like comeon guys, put some love into cataclysm classic, just look at sod it barely has more raiding characters as of last week then wotlk which has been a cata waiting room for weeks/months. open your eyes aggrend, your beloved SoD isnt as big of a banger as you might think. invest some ressources into cata & mop. hate to see how they are handeling cata classic, its such a damn shame

Where is the sense in this? Radio silence all the way through the Beta and then you remove key features of the expansion!? Doesnt feel like you care much a out Cata at all and want to rush through to MoP. Disgraceful!

Start communicating better with your playerbase rather than focussing all of your attention on your new toy (SoD). Honestly beyond belief some of the decisions made for this expansion.

Kaivax, you do realize that Void Storage has more usage beyond just transmog items, right!?

Also, today’s Beta and PTR builds are still plagued with bugs. Not a single word about those? This Cataclsym will be so much fun when Deatwhnig arrives.

I love how you try to sell us your incompetence. Let me quote your first sentence :

Here you use the verb “Differ” but in reality it’s just a roundabout way to say “removed” “missing”.

“Differently” let me correct you : Pet system is missing we are not competent to make it work.

“Streamlined” = We teased you a new guild perk system and new guild leveling system for “family guild” at blizzcon but we are not competent enough to make something clean so we just remove some perks in order to release cata sooner and in an easier way for us. Oh and btw the whole guild lvl system is deleted, too hard to adapt sorry not sorry.

“Access will arrive in an update soon” = It can be 1 week after release or on the last patch 3 monthes before MoP. No one care you still play our game anyway.

Let’s be honest, how can you still argue with the fact that you don’t consider classic player just a financial bonus at this point ?
It’s a shame you still ask people to pay 10-13 € / month when you put such less effort in your game and your player satisfaction.

Keep in mind that private server are free and are at the moment doing a better work than you. Shame.
