Midnight drops in just a few days!
We were trying to prep our UI’s and read up on the new classes, but Steve already managed to die to a target dummy…so while we wait for him to run back, i figured i’d push this thread back to the top.
Good news: our healers are locked in! We are now just looking for these final puzzle pieces before the new expansion hits:
- A brave Raid Leader (to explain the mechanics, and to tell Steve where not to stand). No pressure: if the plan fails, we just blame it on Steve anyway.
- A few DPS (to actually kill the bosses while we laugh at Steve).
A quick note on those DPS spots: We are currently drowning in Plate and Leather wearers. If you happen to play a Cloth class, you will be showered in loot.
However, our golden rule is always “bring the player, not the class.” We would much rather have an awesome person in Plate than a jerk in a dress. If you fit the OOPS vibe, play whatever makes you happy!

Well… recruitment went way better than expected! We’ve gathered an amazing crew of professional floor inspectors for the Midnight launch.
Because our raid team is now nearing completion, we are closing down raid recruitment.
We want to keep the group tight-knit, social, and manageable. We’ll only leave a tiny window open for exceptional applications (if you are the ultimate anti-meta team player and fit the OOPS vibe perfectly, we might try to squeeze you in).
Also: Please, no more Mages. Steve is already confused enough by all the random portals, and we don’t need any more people begging our poor priests for Power Infusion. We are at max capacity for arcane nonsense.

I really love what I’ve seen about your guild and hope you have a spot for me as a social player, but one who might want to take the plunge and - eventually - try a few dungeons maybe with guildmates maybe?
I’m almost always a solo player, and have recently returned to WoW after a long break, but it does get a little lonely so some in-game chat and laughs would be most welcome. I’ve tried to apply via guild finder since I’m not at all comfortable with Discord (I hope that’s not a problem) but couldn’t find your guild. Is it closed?
I really hope I can join you guys, you sound like a lot of fun.

Real life happened! A few of our members had a shift in priorities recently, opening up some unexpected spots in our Midnight roster. We are taking this opportunity to find players who really value playing together. Quality over quantity!

Here is a bump from one of the first members of this guiild. So far I say to you the ones interested in joining. This guild has very friendly and active social vibes. The mindset is very opening and chill so do not try to sweat if we would do some content together. All in all I like it here. Usually I don’t join new guild since they are very socially inactive and fall of quick but this one really picked up speed and it became quite the community that I am glad to be a part of.

I recommend OOPS Inc to all returning WoW veterans! I joined the guild a few months ago after a break of more than 4 years. Because of my small kids I don’t have as much time for the game as I used to, and this guild is the perfect place where the community is very open and understanding.
I encourage you to join. If you’re housing enthusiasts, I’d be very happy to play with you in our Oopsville!

While the raid team might be packed, our doors are always open for active Socials. If you are the type of player who likes running M+, doing some casual group content, and talking nonsense in Discord after work, you are exactly our kind of player. Real life happens and we completely respect that. A few of our core members recently had some major real life changes like promotions at work, shifting priorities, and simply having less time for WoW. Because of this, we are opening up recruitment to fill out our roster!
Despite our very chill and low stress approach to raiding, we had an absolutely incredible start to the Midnight expansion. In week 1, we cleared all of Normal in just 4 hours over two nights with a brand new team playing together for the very first time. This past Wednesday, we smashed out a complete Normal reclear in exactly 2 hours.
Tomorrow, Sunday, we are officially kicking off our Heroic progression!
Because we have built such an amazing group dynamic over the last few months, we are being very strict with our recruitment right now to protect that vibe. Anyone joining will start as a trial so we can make sure our personalities and playstyles are a good match.
While we firmly believe you should always play the class you enjoy most, our roster is currently very melee heavy. We have a strong preference for Ranged DPS right now. Specifically, we currently do not have the following in our group:
- Demon Hunter
- Evoker
- Shadow Priest
- Shaman
*Paladin and Mage is full
If you want a relaxed atmosphere, efficiency without the sweat, and a group that actually has fun while killing bosses, we might be the perfect fit. Please read the main post above to see exactly what OOPS Inc. is all about.

Since our number one rule is that real life always comes first, we know that perfect attendance is impossible. Work gets busy, kids need attention, and sometimes you just need an evening off.
To make sure we can keep raiding consistently without putting any pressure on our members, we are looking to expand our core team to a roster of about 20 reliable players. Having a slightly larger group gives us a comfortable buffer, allowing us to easily field a solid raid of around 15 people every night even when real life pops up for a few of us.
Right now, we are specifically on the lookout for reliable DPS to help us push further into our Heroic progression. We are currently on 4/9 HC with Lightblinded Vanguard at 14% after 3 pulls, but the raid night came to an end on that last wipe…so soon (tonight?) we’ll be at least 5/9 and probably even further…
(Update: they have fallen. Now progressing on Chimaerus HC. Update 2: he died as well)
