Thank you all so very much for your replies! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I did try to check out Shadowlands website from a different browser and after clicking the OPT-IN it redirected me to battle.net login screen!
So, it seems that I was logged in to my battle.net account already when I opted-in!

I have just found out this OPT-IN for JOIN THE BETA feature on Shadowlands official site.
I am not sure I follow how this one works.
I’ve opted-in now and it tells me: “Your opt-in has already been recorded. We’ll let you know!”
Since there is no way to log in to this site with my battle.net account, how Blizzard know it is me opting-in? Is it an IP bound feature?

What? You have to log in to your battle net account to opt in, that’s how it knows.

If it didn’t ask you to log in then it’s because you were already logged in.

Its was there since they announced it at blizzcon.

It’s based on whatever Bnet account you are loggen on Blizzard websites. If you weren’t it would redirect you to login page.

You only just discovered that?

It’s how us common folk get a shot at beta access, in theory to test the game.

Not that people use it for that :man_facepalming:

I think that website is just a part of the regular wow website, so you if you were already logged in there, you didn’t need to log in again.
