As a disc in solo shuffle I have a bad record against resto shaman. My MMR is in the range of 2150-2350. I play oracle most of the time, but I do have a voidweaver spec too.
Vs resto shaman usually I play voidweaver if I have 2 caster dps on my team, otherwise oracle.
I have 6-0d rshamans as oracle several times, but it’s more likely that they 6-0 me, at least if they know what they are doing. It’s gotten to the point where I have /afkd some games because they feel impossible to get even a 1-5 in and they take so long to lose (e.g. 75% dampening) that it’s actually worth taking the -150 and making a sandwich or coffee or something.
I play mostly mastery as oracle, with pvp talents phantasm, catharsis, and purification, sometimes trinity instead of purification. I play the left side of the disc talents, so more about healing than damaging to heal.
The next thing I want to try is make a macro to target their healing totems and kill them. Right now I don’t have nameplates on minions so I mostly ignore them, but I heard they have low hp and contribute a lot to heals.
Any other tips and tricks? I death hexes and rebuff fortitude mid-match. If I get wind sheared on holy, I mind control the shaman - sometimes they ground it if they have the pvp talent. But usually the MC gets kicked by one of the dps.
Overall it seems like resto shamans have no stress against me, to the point where they always have their gcd ready to use wind shear on anything I hard cast. They spend a lot of the game not doing any actions, just moving their character around. Could it be as simple as killing their totems?
