[PCU] Gnome RP - Assemblage of Uld 🔧

The boxes were neatly packed and sealed at the front of his sanctum inside one of the many spires of Dalaran. The culmination of years of tolerance, the gears that were had finally rusted, as Felwin Finkleveil observed the now barren chamber.

What was once his place of study and rest, was about to become one of many painful memories, yet much of the pain led to this moment, as the wizard sidestepped the boxes and walked out onto the balcony overlooking the city of Dalaran. From there, his mind whirred.

First was the fall of his home, and the heavy guilt that threatened to crush him as he remained in Dalaran to defend the city and its people instead. Maybe it would have been too late, but the choice was made.

Then it was the Wrathgate, many lives were lost, yet the treachery was never punished as he stood idle under the banner of the Kirin Tor as death was allowed to fester; allowed to rot uncontested.

Theramore was next, and the subsequent campaign in the Isle of Thunder, only to settle at the behest of native strangers. The dungeons of Dalaran were not a lesson learned for the blood elves.

Then it was the reports of a new substance in the southern deserts of Kalimdor, plundered in earnest by the Horde, and especially the goblins under the thrall of death itself. The High Tinker’s reported fall only served as the largest nail in the coffin.

No longer could he see the faces of the Horde as equals in Dalaran. What patience he had had over the years slowly broke the gnome down until today.

Today he would return to his kin.

Slowly he descended down the spire, and left for the nearby portal chamber to the Alliance capitals.

“Farewell, Dalaran.”

After receiving a distress call from the Storm Peaks about some suspicious activity from the titanic constructs, the Assemblage did not hesitate to hop on their gyrocopters and take the first boat to Northrend. The Storm Peaks, after all, is one of our favourite places just for the sheer amount of unrecovered technology.

Once we arrived we didn’t waste any time. We were filled in by one of the frost dwarves in Frosthold and then decided to immediately head north to find out what was happening. We had to travel by foot, because a storm was raging throughout the Storm Peaks. Not ideal flight conditions.

After a fierce skirmish against some corrupted Iron dwarves on the first day, we found shelter in one of the Stone dwarves settlements north-west. The forge’s fire kept us warm at night. The following day we headed south-east and activated the teleporter, which transported us to the MAJESTIC workshop of our creator.

As we marvelled, we were struck by a group of clockwork gnomes. We made short work of them. One tried to convince us to join him, to become fully mechanized and immortal, like him. None of us were persuaded, however… and we shut him down.

A titanic console was right behind him. Custodian Boltwrench tinkered with it for a while… when all of a sudden a series of old god whispers echoed in the Workshop. I grabbed my electrostaff and slammed it upon the console, shattering it and stopping the foul whispers. The signal came from the titan facility of Ulduar.

The following day the storm had ended, which meant we could use our gyros to reach Ulduar. Once we entered the facility however, we noticed something was off… an army of corrupted Stormforged was lined up, ready to face us… We decided to roll with it and breached through their defenses easily. After salvaging some titanic weapons such as my prodigious spear, we teleported inside the Antichamber. We realized that we were stuck inside an illusion of sorts as we progressed further into the facility. We lost Designate Ashstrike during the battle against a Constellar. By the time we got to Yogg’Saron’s prison, we were all tired and mourning. Filled by sorrow and rage… it was then that the source of the corruption tore a hole in the illusion and showed himself to us. A faceless one, servant of N’zoth. The battle was tough… but we came out of it as victors.

The illusion had been shattered… the corruption had been purged and we had recovered a vast amount of titanic weapons… however, we lost our Designate.

I ask you all to remember her for what she was, a proud Dark Iron, who dedicated her life to our cause.
