Perspective on Classic Launch

My girlfriend and I returned to WoW in Legion- then played through into current BFA. If not for our guild Immortalis I think we would have stopped sooner, community is the glue that keeps us playing at least.

I realize that the server has only just launched, but already I see a sense of community forming. The friendly ques for quest mobs, the people rushing to your aid when they see that you accidentally pull two murlocs, and a general overall sense of wanting to help each other because the game/world is a tough place.

What also helps I think is the fact that you get to have a very real reputation on the server (something a few retail players have yet to realize I think. They will find that you can’t just be a douche to people in the long run without consequence). But on the flipside of that; you get to befriend and recognize other players while they go about their personal journeys.

I was unsure about how I would feel playing vanilla again. But holy moly do I miss playing a game that feels like an actual rpg. Currently I don’t wish to touch retail with a ten foot pole while classic is going strong. The nostalgia is real, but so is the genuine better gameplay feel. At least in my opinion.

I just wanted to share my appreciation for those of you I have met so far. Can’t wait to jump back into the game! (writing this at work… cough)

Exactly my feeling too Tulla!

I already added more people to the friend list since Classic Launch than I have in the past years. And I don’t even know them, we just bonded out of necessity, and glued for the good times.

And you trade items like a real rpg.
