Oh what one are you getting?
Iām buying a 3060 or 3070
the funniest part of this is that before the hotfix people were saving so much that their games performances were being destroyed by it.
Also apparently thereās a lot of people reporting overly-compressed audio/music and theyāre looking into it.
Not bad, those should be pretty affordable as of this moment and still be plenty for most of todayās games.
yeah thatās me
(that, or my PC just being on deathās door, pardon the pun)
I thought those were the top choices today?? Are they already old news???
im still on 970 man wth
About 300 euros!
They are, but after the crypto crash, bitcoin mining farms werenāt profitable enough anymore and the prices stabilised. The 3000 series used to cost an arm and a leg due to supply issues caused by Covid restrictions on factories + the crypto miners scalping them.
Well, Nvdia is on the 4000 series currently, the first one, the 4090 came out end of last year, shortly after Iād bought my new gaming pc. But the prices for that thing were outrageous and there were cases of melting power-connectors, so I didnāt wait till one of those and landed me one of the last 3090tiās that werenāt second-hand. Was also still an exorbitant sum, but the card was not even a year old at that time, so ill stil be good for another 7 years or so probably.
AMD meanwhile has brought out their 7000 series but I am not entirely sure how good those are.
Then there is this too.
i should get myself a newer graphics card (i think my mobo should still be fine as i5-6600?) but i am petrified at the thought of actually taking my PC apart
i am to PC building what homer is to cooking, things will catch on fire.
Same, hence why I just asked advice to friends that -did- know what they were doing by building their own pc, and having one of said friends with me when assembling mine.
If you get a new gpu, just be aware of how much power it draws from your power supply, and make sure it isnāt bottlenecked by either your CPU or monitorās refresh-rate.
Your CPU is slightly better than the old one I had, an i5-6400, so I gotta ask⦠how old -is- your pc right now? Cause my old one was a pre-built from 2015ā¦
Mine is a pre-built one from⦠2017 or so? And was mid-range back then or something.
So technically, Iām well into the timeframe of āI should really upgrade my PC nowā.
I should also get a new monitor fwiw, I mistakenly thought the current one was better than 60hz but apparently not. To my frustration as a FPS player back then!!!
Thatās definetly upgrading time.
I bet! And yeah, itād suck really hard if your gpu gets bottlenecked by a monitor, its why I bought a new one too.
Hey
Hey peeve people
Does anyone remember if I took my allergy meds earlier?
No?
Guess weāll see⦠just how tired I can get.
Either way the poor tadpole in my druidās head must be really annoyed. We spend most of today solving puzzles and having poetry quoted at us.
Doorways, no matter how big or small, seem to be their issue. Iāll briefly pop into an abandoned shack and dip back out and my crack-addict wizard is suddenly hiking through burning pitch next to the shack in a desperate attempt to return to the party .8 seconds faster than it would take him to use the same path my character took.
Also my party is four people, I guess I either have a lot to look forward to or I have killed way more party members than I originally thought.
I think Distantpeak just plays with mods, you canāt get more than 4 afaik (excluding summons).
Purely appropros of nothing, you canāt dig up endangered flower species, and pigs sure do love to eat just about anything.
Yāknow⦠fun facts ![]()
Still wishing each and every one of them a Very Merry Catch On Fire.
Given how sadistic the anti-player AI is and how random events are seeded, itās a necessity to savescum total warhammer.
⦠that but all druids would fill entire rooms. Big rooms. LARGE rooms. Also the bosses would finally learn what it feels like when they summon another 34 minions.
