What a joke ![]()
Joke ban as we all knew it would be.
That might be the tank, as (far as we know) he was only a pug. Doesn’t excuse it though
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ok, give me a GM to help me out with the title keys. I am definitely OK with a month-long ban; I am getting the title.
I knew it; I knew Blizzard was untrustable and was going to be shady again. Yet another middle finger to its community.
Go on, fellas, cheat, get what you want to get, and enjoy your 1-month break. I am pretty sure those guys are laughing their asses off with this ban xD
There was no blue post, so most probably those people are also removed from obtaining the seasonal rewards.
This is allegeded, and not a blue post.
Most probably they will also be illegible to receiving seasonal rewards.
I know it is Jdotb who speculated it, but we’ll see about that if Blizzard comes up to say something about the verdict. As long as they say something, I’ll take what J said as the reality.
Not saying that they were not banned, just saying that they will also not receive seasonal rewards.
But we will learn at the end of the season.
If dev loose his job and players still have own accounts then justice is not served. Even if accounts was closed its not even remotely close to loosing job irl but still is kinda satisfied.
Was listening that stream how they giggle about it..Remove my titles, we dont care about key etc But not single time was not said.. Pls Blizzard dont let him loose his job or simillar sentence like that, or express remorse for their actions. At end of day dev was only human to get carried away and now got punished for it but players on another hand get away with it.. Sad!
gm is not developer though …
I have heard that lame excuse multiple times . when you get hired for job you get a contract that you have to sign .in this case a rogue employee should rightly not get any leniency .they don’t get paid to encourage cheating let alone become a tool of cheating .
I did not say should be not punished but ppl who asked him to do it should loose accounts aswell without chance on apeal. But instead of ot they got banned for month and dev loose job for cheating in VIDEO GAME ![]()
That i agree ..
they should have get permabanned.
But it is Blizzard; always remember about a blizz game that you can cheat until you get caught, but it doesn’t end there…
If you get caught, and if you are a streamer or a known person somehow, you’ll always get away with it. Sometimes with funny, and minor punishments for the sake of appearances or sometimes even nothing!
If you get caught and if you are a regular person, go the hell, bro; you don’t deserve to play this game. You cheating piece of sheet. How dare you cheat? Take this “you are banned” e-mail; there is no explanation in the mail about why you got banned. Also, you can appeal it; good luck passing through our AI assist bot. Even if you do, you’ll not get a human to reply to you because we send them out to simp on streamers and help them with their keys.
Because they’re GMs. It’s their job to have access to those powerful abilities in order to use them to overcome possible game bugs or exploits. This was a case of a GM misusing them for personal gain.
If this is not trolling and is actually true, it seems like it is not only Blizzard CS but also HR that is AI now xD
will you perma ban the abusers???
because they are ‘‘twitch celebrities’’ they get special treatment?
yea, but isn’t it quite “oof” to lose your account because you asked for an illegal favor and got it?
shouldn’t have asked, yes, but… i mean, it’s the gm who should know just how taboo this is.
i don’t like it, the cheating. none of it. but i also don’t like brutal punishment. guy lost his job but wasn’t, as far as i know, subjected to some kind of lawsuit, and the asker got a month ban.. which is pretty heavy duty? it’s also affecting the livelyhood, yes; i mean cause the head seems to be a streamer?
just want to say that not every crime should carry the death penalty.
but i also want to say that i don’t really know, i just think leniency is a good and fair thing.
The streamer is a girl .people were looking at her logs and seeing most of them as grey parses .when people pointed it out she made her rio profile private .
In her discord she said she is innocent but when one person said that if you are innocent then it will be okay to release screen shot of chat happening at the incident .that guy got booted from discord right away by mods of her server .
A one month ban is no where heavy duty .heavy duty is if the person gets maybe a season ban atleast if not more .
Such lenient reaction from blizzard will only contribute to more people trying to cheat IMHO.
Lastly blizzard is saying that their systems to catch cheaters are working as intended .if they were working as intended then their system would had caught the cheater .not some random person going through the log by chance and reporting it .
That is why I asked the question: Does Blizzard actually check logs at the end of the season to ensure all is fair before they dish out titles and rewards. I guess the answer is NO. Secondly I do not buy for a single moment that this was an “isolated” incident. The bad luck was someone finding out via logs.
Either way action was taken and I truly hope the sugar was well worth the bitter end for the “GM”.
No but neither should it we swept away with a month action. The very least 3 - 6 months would have fitted the crime better.
Continuing the discussion from Prohibited Gameplay Incident and Response:
Absolutely not impressed by this, Blizzard messing with the livelihood of people over the integrity of their spammable dungeon bosses. So very sanctimonious of you, you even advertise it. Honestly you should be ashamed.
Reminder that this is a game and you’re supposed to have fun playing it. So tone it down with your ‘violations’.
You pulled a exclusive 1% out-of-nowhere mythic plus mount, you never announced at the start of a season, but created it out of thin air at the end of the season. This caused the masses of players to panic push M+ to meet the cut off. Boosts are being bought left and right, the boosting community is literally booming. And suddenly this incident created an issue which invalidated everyone’s time and money spent. Because YOU created this issue to begin with, otherwise nobody in the world cares about a +23 Nexus-Point Xenas clear.
When do the people in charge of the M+ reward system get fired? Also, can you address the boosting issue with the same haste as it took you to fire one guy? It’s clear to me you’re very receptive to “some” events, while obviously letting others slide.
