I find it funny beyond comprehension that the writers think that people would still not understand that they are ripping off mirroring Arthas enslaving Sylvanas to the point they had to literally spell it out.

I think it’s more about showing that Sylvanas has become an Arthas or a KT if we were to be accurate about parallels.
Still, like we didn’t get the parallels like a patch ago, I don’t think it needed reinforcing “Sylvanas is totally evil and sticks to her guns.”
… Until she decided 4 weeks ago that “No, I will never serve aha!” these cinematics are stupidly out of order and makes for a not so great experience.
I don’t, I used to ask myself a little while ago if they thought were stupid or they thought themselves so intelligent for writing things as they are. Turns out it’s both.

I’m still waiting for this all to have been Sylvanas’ ploy ever since she first spoke with Anduin in Torghast. He changes her priorities, they agree to lay a trap for Zovaal, but the plan hinges on - for all appearances sakes - her going along with his plan. Including the domination of Anduin.
I’m overthinking it again aren’t I.
Anyway, I’ll look forward to finding out how the compass-vision worked. Arcane law of sympathy?

Im gonna come out and say it.
I miss Cata/MoP Anduin. He was turning out to be a geniuenly interesting character. He was resourceful and clever, and his view on balance with shadow magic and light was quite cool. And he had some moral ambiguity like when he literally mind controlled Sully for a moment so he could get away to continue what he needed to do.
They completly forgot all of that and made him such a wooden plank of a character.

The last time we saw Anduin with the slightest modicum of personality is when he sort of chastises Mathias Shaw for being terrible at his job during the Legion end cinematic. But even then he was in the early stages of Terminal Wood Character Development.

Hey… At least the animation on Sylvanas and Anduin are miles better than what we’ve seen on literally all other characters in all other in-game cinematic.

The BfA in-game cinematics were cursed…there was one in particular(The Baine being imprisoned one) where Sylvanas mouth looks like it is about to fall off. It was a problem in all of the cinematics, but that one was particularly cursed. Those ventriloquist puppet mouths.
Stay tuned for another 10 months. We might learn some basic information about our nominal antagonist which would contextualise and explain the events of the previous ten months!

Shadows Rising does portray him as an increasingly… I wouldn’t say cynical guy, but he does choose to allow Turalyon/Alleria to hunt down Sylvanas using methods that left Jaina stunned. Plus he does seem to unknowingly channel a dollop of shadow magic at its end, albeit briefly.

You know the whole Jailer=Arthas thing is even funnier to me because we’re told that she made her deal with him like five minutes after Arthas died. It wasn’t years later, it was literally just after he got popped.
Still incredibly impressed by Blizz threading that needle of satisfying neither Sylv fans nor Sylv haters.
