PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 4)

I don’t see any difference in this and buying any other cosmetics on the shop tbh. Like it sucks but I’m not surprised.

If everyone was like me it’d not be a viable business model.

Usually you buy cosmetics once and have it unlocked for all characters, in all the quantities you want. Not one thing at a time.

For €15 you can buy necessary groceries or pay bills but for 15 hearthsteel you don’t get that same feeling of value. So you’re more likely to spend increased amounts of virtual currency than you would with actual money

Already now I’ve met plenty of people in-game who can’t resist buying that one store item even though they’re poor and don’t have that much money for food/medicine. I fear this group won’t be able to resist a virtual currency for that reason.

It’s predatory and shouldn’t ever be implemented.

It’s disgusting. We already pay subscription costs, we buy expansions every other year (with predatory pricing because Blizzard wants to push you into buying the expensive editions), we have mounts, pets and transmogs in the cash shop. Blizzard is swimming in money. But it wants more.

Up until now, you only had to buy them once to have them… Not you have to buy them 6 times to have 6 chairs on your freaking dinner table D:<

You’re still spending extra money on pretend things.

Don’t do that.

Its capitalism, baby :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Listen here. I remeber a time when that wasn’t a thing. Now I’m in to deep. I need it all. But this heartsteel currency is the first time it actually makes me reconsider, because atleast in the last 2 years, when you didn’t buy a set, it did become available in the trader’s shop for tenders you could earn in the actual game… This is not earn able. this is a cold, hard, cash-to-digital-cash exchange! :weary:

This seems to be the case - the new version takes you to hang out in Outland-Nagrand now instead.

Greatmother Geyah is still somehow alive and kicking, and she’s meant to be older than Drek’thar. Between her, Drek’thar, and Eitrigg I’m starting to think orcs can’t actually die of old age. The former two gotta be pushing 100+ at this point easy.

Bullying devs on social media works, I guess.

Lets bully them about the housing currency!

Edit: to be clear I dont mean bullying as in roughing them up or calling them names, but just whine about it until they give up the housing currency (which is never but atleast we could say we tried!)

Astalor Bloodsworn got some new voice acting.

The Sunwell will soon be obsolete is an excellent line for the dude who used to be in charge of slurping up M’uru for the Blood Knights. He might not be Rommath levels of :muscle: but I appreciate his vibes all the same. A Blood Elf who saw just how fragile the Sunwell’s sustenance could be and insists on finding alternatives that aren’t so potentially vulnerable makes a lot of sense.

Since he seemed to be in charge of the anima golems back on Draenor it’d be nice if he had some knocking around too. None yet though…

Edit: New Jarod dialogue

For all the talk of reunifying elven tribes, the night elves sure don’t sound too thrilled about saving the world from the void. More than happy to accept Lor’themar’s help with Amirdrassiil though, smh!!

I don’t remember, but… there was belf or Lor’themar’s aid in the Amirdrassil matter? I thought Horde-wise it’s only Lilian Voss of all the people.

The kind of greed they talk about in the bible.

I do believe in the final quest of Amir’drassil’s campaign, ‘The Age of Mortals’ where you go around blowing the horn on the battlefield to bolster a lot of named champions fighting, Lor’themar is present with Lilian. Though, for clarity, other horde characters are also there and contributing there such as Baine, Mayla and Hamuul, Thrall, Rexxar, etc.! So it’s not really him and a lot of belves showing up, more that he is just sort of battle royale dropped in alongside a LOT of named characters.

Stormwind is being treated like a child in need of a babysitter.
which is pretty funny to me.
Hey Genn, former king of a different nation, can you rule the the entire kingdom and city tonight, I have dinner with the wife and kid.
Yeah just nod and smile to the nobles and don’t worry about the common folk, the advisers got it handled.

Edit:

Night elves really are azeroths wellfare queens.
Its all urgent and important when they need help but soon as the attention is elsewhere its always, Hey remember that one time you couldn’t help us? yeah why should we help you now?

The Blood Elves should’ve been happier about accepting help from Alliance then! Jarod’s simply stating the facts :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Its cool the Horde gets smack for all they’ve done, though. (I’m not blaming the players or the fans!)

And ofcourse the Night Elves will do what has to be done to save the world, again, while Blood Elves will smack talk there heroes, again.

Weird take… Its only normal to question why you should help the people that genocided you, invaded your lands for 15+ years and burned your home

After all the talk of uniting the elven tribes, Blood Elves are really the welfare queens showing Night Elves the door even though they invaded Darnassus twice. :nail_polish:

If only.
But this is very consistent with night elves in some form or another.
letting old grudges (or new) bubble up.

Remind me - who helped the Gilneans temper the Worgen Curse, and homed them after Cataclysm?
