Ok, so I’m 80 now and the game tells me “Enlistment Bonus: Your faction needs more soldiers”. In that case I queue of course.
“Average wait time: 13 minutes”
“Time in queue: 29 min 18sec”.
More than two times the average? That’s not even happening on full Classic servers.
Right now retail feels like a ghost place.
There are better queues during the night and afternoon.

Will they ban queue sync and finally gives us group queues? No? Then nothing will change.
retail is dead, not pvp in specific
Random bgs are full of premades and take half an hour to pop, rss is the same 5 people in 2k-2.4 range and the pop takes 30 minutes unless in primetime, 2v2s are r1 fiesta above duelist, 3v3 is deflated by 600 cr and bgb is full of boosters. It’s fun.
my queues are 3-9min allways, u must be doing stuff that pauses it.
For what BG? Epic BG are 5-10 minutes, everything else (not rated) doesn’t open at all at 80 for me. Below 80 there isn’t even epic BG.
I think one of the huge issues still is gear. The honor gear difference to conquest is still way too big and newcomers are completely worthless. Blizzard really needs to stop making gear one of the deciding factors for pvp.
It’s impossible to beat even bad players when they are 10-15 item levels above you and this leads to players not going into BG any more. If you don’t have a chance to improve, no fun and there is nothing to gain you don’t go there.
After a few world quests in WM mode, you’ll have 627 gear, after winning a BG you can craft items to 630.
It doesn’t take long, and with honor gear, no one really needs to start in the BGs anymore.
Trust me this is the last problem. You can farm conquest gear with war drop raids in LFG.
The main problem are the premades. Too many of them.
World quests? You mean I quest for PvP gear instead of doing PvP for PvP gear? And honor gear is greatly inferior to conquest with set bonus.
Just farm wood for decoration, no need pvp anymore 
it definately feels dead, i’ve just decided to try and get back into rated pvp - queued a BG blitz, currently been sitting in the queue for over an hour and 15 minutes -.-’ - i’m paying for this and can’t even seem to play the content i want to play, it’s a joke
it’s no wonder new players aren’t getting into pvp if this is their experience

Lol new players are not even staying for a month.
Yeah sometimes it’s like that.
But there are many things that factor into it such as:
Sometimes I get queues popping within 2min, other times 30min So it varies. Once it’s the start of a new season, queues are much faster.
30+ minutes at 2100, totally dead game.
It’s like walking into a single empty room, and saying “THIS BUILDING IS EMPTY!” 
WoW is doing better than it has in a LONG time (maybe even better than it ever has), so no it’s not a dead game. People are just unfortunately not playing the content that YOU are playing. 
The issue is how matchmaking works in that bracket and up. The higher your rating is, the fewer people there are to get matchmake’ed with.
So everyone playing Rated BG Blitz at a lower rating are getting queued together every 5-10min, while you are left with trying to queue up with the other 2100+ rating players… Meaning you gotta be lucky enough to queue when those few people are playing at the same time as you…
Blizz needs to change how matchmaking works in Rated BG Blitz, so that people you don’t get isolated to the side, just because your rating is getting higher.
And unfortunately i’m now also part of the problem that makes less and less people queue at lower ratings. Because i have to make new alts to be able to play with 5 minute queues. Unintentionally gate keeping newer PVPers who get pushed down further.
