Well you are in luck as Hrothgar kind of exist in Wow called “Saberon” as npc…for now. They escaped with the Mag’har orcs from AU Draenor then vanished, but I think we won’t see them until there be a updated Kalimdor. Probably in a updated Stonetalon Mountains as they do like rocky mountains.

Well Humans and elves have always popular in fantasy, its why they are in fantasy games/books. Im not against monster races when they make sense to be playable. I play most humans and elves but I play have orcs, trolls, Tauren, Dark elves (Nightborne), Worgen. I mostly for Alliance but have the Horde characters to get a different story but been long time since Horde had different story. Miss those times. I have Vulpera but I think I will race change him to something else as I not played him for 4 years.
Im for monster races too, despite anyone else saying. Gnolls (Already prepared for them with mounts, weapons), Saberons, Furbolgs (I will finish the language barrier quest one day in Azure Span), Ogres, Mok’nathal. Not sure if Vrykuls counts as Monster race. They are human ancestor’s sure but they are also half-giants. But then again so was the Tauren until wow released.
I just want the Alliance’s ancient, loyal Allies…The High elves to be playable first.
Worgen I thought was going to be Horde as they are monster race but as they were human first, they make sense in the Alliance. And Im not against monster races in the Alliance as long as they make sense and reasons to be in the Alliance, Draenai makes sense as they worship the light and have common ideals as humans. Furbolgs would be cool to be in the Alliance. Gnolls Horde. Saberon for Alliance, but could also be for Horde but I think the Mag’har would not like that as they been enemies in the past. Vrykul could be Alliance or Neutral as Odyn does not care for any of the factions, He cared for the “Glory of battle” and don’t mind Vrykul’s fight each other. And the Vrykul that hated Humans is long dead, King Ymiron. And there is many clans of Vrykul and many we still haven’t seen/met yet. Although Kultirans could have been the answer for playable Vrykul but Blizzard choosed to make them to Normal Humans. Since Kultirans are models of the Diablo 3 Barbarian character as the Diablo team used the same engine as wow to make Diablo 3. They could have given the Kultiran Rexxar body (Rexxar’s new model is based of Kutiran model after all and have same animations) and Vrykul tattoos, Hairstyles, Beards and made them to be Ancient human race that never evolved like the EK Humans did with the Light and still believed in the old gods (the Titan Keepers) just like the Vrykul. To be taller than regular Human. In the old rpg book there was a group of Large humans, the Azotha that still was Barbaric Human race that vanished after living for awhile in Stranglethorn Vale. Some believed they were killed off by the jungle trolls there. But what if they didn’t and they made large boats and left EK and went…somewhere on Azeroth.
I don’t mind Blizzard reuseing same assets as other races in order to make a race but only if it works. The New Furbolgs, they have Kultiran model and they look great. Gnolls have Worgen model. Zandalari have Night elf model etc etc but sometimes they might have to created something brand new.
Some believed Kultirans are brand new model but they really aren’t as they are copy paste of the Diablo 3 Barbarian annnd made them fat (No one will see the difference they tought). Blizzard even gave Kultirans the “fatboy” dance as their dance animation. Don’t know if that was their way of a joke when they could used anything else as dance animation.
Well there are Blood elf players playing for the race but still want to play on the Alliance side.
Erevien on his alt even said some of his RP Blood elf friends have left to play on the Alliance side as they actually wanted to play High elf but in the Alliance.
Soo…one can wonder what the devs are even thinking.
I mean all the other Races in the Horde make sense for the Horde (Orcs, Trolls, Taurens, Forsaken, Nightborne, Goblins) but Blood elves have always had strong connection with the Alliance. And Alliance have helped them/saved them in the past. Making them neutral (Like Pandaran, Earthen, Dracthyr) would been best choice. So too could they do with the Void elves, make them neutral and Horde would have access to Void Demon Hunters.
