Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 1)

What do you know guys about high elves? Really?

Because lorewise, actual alliance high elves are faaaaaaaaar about what a high elve should be.

And lorewise actual blood elves are exactly what a high elves should be

Except the ones in BfA?

It would be really interesting if the San’layn were present for the Midnight Elven Reunification !
This could be an opportunity to have an allied race or San’layn customizations for the Horde.:bat::drop_of_blood:

or blood elves should join alliance, join SIlver covenant and if someone want to play a blood elf, MUST play the high elf in the alliance.

But that didn’t happen. The story has gone a different way. You can’t demand an author re-write a book just because you don’t like it - you gotta work with what’s happened!

Blame the racist Humans and Night Elves!

That’s a unbelievable stupid argument.

That’s like saying I want to be alliance but I also want to be an orc so ofcourse orcs must leave the horde and join the alliance

If blood elves are not in the alliance its the fault of night elves and humans

We ll never be your pets again, filthy alliance

Humans used to mock us as swine and donkey because of our ears + garithos who wanted to kill us, childen and women included.

We are in a better place with others outcast race who dont judge us.

I prefer to be with a zandalari or darkspear troll than be with a human

Stop giving the topic attention. It will die on its own.

Moontear is offended over the even idea the Horde having any elves. Ignore him and call it a day.

No.

Im a firm believer that we need to confront those people. If we don’t and just say “those guys are crazy” and ignore them they still stand there in a room and spout there nonsense but now it’s an echo chamber.

If we don’t challenge these kooks they gather and nee people that don’t know anything about it fall into there mess of lies and biases and adapt there opinion.
If you ignore them and let them grow they sooner or later stop being a couple of weird dude. They will be a bunch and then a whole group and one day they are enough so you (blizz in this case) can’t ignore them cause they are a sizeable number.

You can see that in the real world too. Sure this might be an more extreme example but look at all those people that think vaccines are evil. It started with a handful of loonies that thought the government wants to poison them and after decades we are at a point where illnesses that got once wiped from this planed are now back to hurt people again

We can argue about what canon is but only canon is canon and this was confirmed long ago enough that this isnt some shadowlands tier retcon, questions about this were asked and answered about as early as the 2010 range because roleplayers were curious cause they wanted to rp by the lore

Warcraft 3 lore is also not broken as Warcraft 3 KTs story ends with the claiming of black temple, all the fel crystals being sent back wasnt chronologically until after wc3 story ended. None of that story mentions sending back felcrystals to smc so fel crystals to fuel the city in smc is all post wc3 lore to begin with.

There is lore of how they managed to fight off scourge remnants if you want to know how that happened you can look it up.
Its not fel at all.

It wasnt fel using and since end of tbc there is no more use of anything fel

When I want to know the lore, I play the relevant games. And if some random dude from Blizzard says something that contradicts the narrative I see in the game itself, that is not cannon to me.

  • in WC 3 there is a clear scene where Kael’thas asks Illidan to teach him and his people how to syphon magic from demons and other sources
  • the greenish eyes of BE that were their signature from their very introduction in 2007 have been undisputed trace of them dipping into fel magic.
  • The Quel’dorei in Quel’Lithien Lodge were exiled for their refusal to tap into fel magic.
If blood elves had been so nice and pure in their magic practices, they wouldn’t have devision with Quel’dorei in the first place.

I gave you my explanation, if you know of another one, feel free to send me a link to the source and I’d be happy to take a look. Otherwise it’s “you’re wrong, look it up” empty arguement.

Yes elves belongs to their own factio or the alliance not in horde.

Say who? You? Elves breaking away from humans is the new norm not the other way around. DND most elves retreated to the Feywild, Dragon age they hate each other because of Tevinter slavery and Warcraft after realising the alliance was using or abusing them as meat shields for retaking Lordaeron. Accept the new reality. Elves and humbos are no longer close friends and that is a good thing. And Blizzard agrees. They made the break very clear and very permanent.

Wrong. The green eyes comes from the magic radiation but up by the burning crystals. Nothing to do with direct consumption of fel energy. Read Chronicles before making ill informed statements.

The high elves were angry because the government broke away from the alliance. This is a squabble of politics and nothing else. Somehow being a glorified sidekicks was better from them instead if preserving their unique identity.

I’m perfectly happy with there being a faction divide between Nightborne and their country-bumpkin cousins, personally.

And why exactly is that?
Any reason beyond cause you want it that way?
