Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 2)

Liking Blue isn’t cultural difference really. The decision to ignore the crisis or use solution that couldn’t he applied on the country wide scale also doesn’t count for cultural as far as I can tell

Then why Didn’t Varessa openly join Alliance instead limiting herself to only open support whenever Dalaran was involved?

Cmon you are better than this.

Names are part of cultural identity which is the basis for BE lore. Even colours are part of cultural identity hence why BE adopted red. The mana tapping is another divergency. The way both HE and BE dealt with mana withdrawal was different.

I’m sorry but this is in the same category of you thinking the Eredar are all official Alliance members. (They’re not)

Like what are you even talking about, Kiryanor?

You say a bunch of stuff while leaving out all the details of the matter.

You say this with such confidence, but:

Ain’t the names shared? They both use Thalassian Language so I don’t think there was a massive shift there. Yes the Red is color if mourning in both races culture so should we assume High Elves decided those who died don’t deserve it? The mana Tapping was a solution based on the need and abbandoned as soon as it no longer was. If anything it matches the High Elves tendency of making decisions based on circumstances (Joining and Leaving Alliance as well as teaching humans magic in exchange for their help during Troll Wars).

Once more the question, and I emphasize, this is a fictive “What-If”-scenario and not likely to happen:

IF Blizzard, against all expectations, gave Void Elf players the option to turn off their racial’s visual effect and have “High Elf” displayed on their character tag instead of “Void Elf” - what would change?
Which practical consequences would that have for the game?

Sin’dorei /Quel’dorei. How you identify yourself.

Once upon a time so did the Portuguese and Spanish. Biologically the same, Cultural and Politically different.

Assumption.

So was the fel, and the fact they the HE did not partake and do not condone such actions as demonstrated by the SC in the Refuge if you aproache as BE.

I do think the BE do the same.

None on the game. On the forums. Oh lordy.

She’s an active member of the Alliance. She has lead several Alliance missions herself. She consistently appears in many faction stories because of her anti-horde stance.

She isn’t limited through Dalaran, she has roots in Dalaran through her deceased husband Rhonin that solidify her strong Alliance affiliation.

Everyone would go crazy because factions would disappear!

Void Elves would cease to exist, poof - gone! Players would flood the forums, and the internet would crash and burn resulting in the end of the world.

( :sob: )

Answer: There are no practical consequences, and Blizzard has contradicted their own flawed arguments for why they’re not introduced over and over, and people are tired of the hypocrisy.

Hopefully on launch not sure when they unlock that but that would be cool

I want to discuss the Quel’Thalas adventurers at stormwind and the implications of it. Because for me it is quite a big deal.

Now its an oversight or a schism on the politics of Quel’Thalas? No fel green eyes on the ones at stormwind.

Can’t post links but it’s on wowhead. For the moment and assuming it’s not a mistake, it’s real. There are Alliance blood elves in Stormwind.

And do the ones at Orgrimmar have fel green eyes?

The tag on the NPC might be Blood Elf, but maybe because its the same model, the fact that they are named Quel’thalas Adventurers does not shoehorn them into any particular affiliation, they can be interpreted as High Elves. Which means the reunification might have a serious impact on the politics of Silvermoon.

Absolutely. They have green, golden and blue eyes.

For me this is the most exciting news that we got on this thread for a while and further evidence of alliance aligned high elves. The optics are undeniable.

inb4 Council of Silvermoon with Belves, Helves and Velves.

This and the fact paladin void elf may be a thing, I’m pretty confident that the void elves will finally have a lot of blood elf customisations. We likely won’t get high elves as an AR tho.

No they also have blood elf voices.

Will paladin VE have gold eyes?

Blood Elf voices.

What voices do the SC use for example?

Or the Allerian Stronghold
