already at part 3? part 1 lasted some time, part 2 on the other hand was filled quite quickly. The beta of midnight surely spurned on the discussions.
And sadly, the State of Azeroth has not given much information regarding the story.
Except: After the initial three raids, void assaults happen. Quel’thalas is still in danger. The Sunwell diminished. I think, the newly formed Sunsilver Accord will likely handle that. And we will see then how the high elves are represented in the game. But that will only happen in 12.0.5. so likely some time in june/july
Edit: also, after rewatching the State of Azeroth, during the part about those void assaults, we see Liadrin with a bunch of blood knights, but they did no wear their usual blood knight tabard, but the tabard of the broken sun. Currently on the beta, on Quel’danas we see a bunch of blood elves and draenei stationed that wear that tabard. Perhaps, after the sunwell is diminished, they are joining the defense elsewhere.
The purged of Dalaran NPCs exist for a reason. @Moritz has speculated, with good reason, that they will factor into a currently unavailable questline that sees the Silver Covenant recruited to participate in the March on Quel’Danas. Why create them otherwise unless there is a point to their existence.
The gathering of the few remaining High Elves there, even including the Allerian Elves who were previously portrayed as a ‘distinct’ group, mean that the refuge could very easily be phased to become a Silversun Compact base at the conclusion of the story. And the Silversun Compact is neutral.
But that is speculation.
And if we are doing speculation, I’d like to show another possibility:
We know the Silversun Compact will be a neutral organization but is there any indication it is an organization that will stay around after the conclusion of “Midnight” it could be they revert to being their own party as well, once again disconnected and distinct enough to be their own. So it could remain an Alliance base.
Because in your previous arguments, you say the Silverglade Refuge only exists to give Alliance an equal amount of flight paths to the Horde. By making it neutral it would in theory create an imbalance again. Which goes in against your own argument.
And nothing precludes that flight point remaining Alliance only. After all, it exists so Alliance players have an even number of flightpoints in the zone. Merely that the NPCs in the base would be phased to wearing Silversun uniforms and their dialogue being updated to reflect their new status.
The issue of course is this. With Veressa disbanding the Silver Covenant, Silverglade will either be out of time and of the moment (in which case it will be dismissed as being an example of the Silver Covenant before its merger into the Silversun Compact) or it will be phased to reflect the dissolution of the organisation. My instinct lean towards the later at this point.
The reason I think that they might revert to their own unique faction is because Vereesa and the other High Elves begrudgingly form the Silversun Compact. If they maintain the theme we might see them splinter off once more.
I doubt it, not because of any in game narrative reason, but because that would negate the reasoning by the writers for creating the Silversun Compact in the first place. The writers are doing this because they have a motive to do this. If they wanted to use a bespoke High Elf only organisation in future, they wouldn’t be removing the one they currently have, because then they would have to spend time (and art assets) setting that up.
Yes but they get a hall pass
But if we really want to get pendantic, they’re magisters, not knights and I was using the word combination ‘blood knights’ not ‘member of the blood knight order’
Edit: maybe I should go back to a regular browser this forum just bursts at the seems on librewolf gahdamn
Your complaint was about Blood Knight tabard being available to non-paladins and how that means there are going to be non-paladin Blood Knights.
Seems like the tabard has been available to non-paladins in the lore for over a decade..
The tabard was used as an arguement for my actual complaint
^ What I believe gives my complaint validity
^ The complaint
For what its worth, there’s always the old bk tabard, so the new tabard going to others isn’t the issue, its just what makes me think the BK order is just going to be the next thing that gets blizzards treatment of everyone can be xyz
My complaint isn’t people getting items, its the potential addition of non blood elf paladin blood knights on a narrative level
So, to be clear, because non-paladin characters can wear Blood Knight tabard (something that you agree has been a thing for a long time), you now think Blizzard is going to add non-paladin Blood Knights.
Do you have any actual proof of it, or is this just another case of complaining about something that isn´t a thing but you think might be?
Can we stop the wordplay now and trying to tell me what I intend to say with my own words?
I see something I don’t like I call it out, you don’t have to agree with me and we’re not in court.
