Raging Maelstrom is now Annoying

Blizzard please change the way Raging Maelstrom works so it reflects the cast length of the Maelstrom bonus.

Since last “hotfix” Raging maelstrom got nerfed so it benefits only 50% of the Maelstrom. Meaning strength of the heal went 50% down but ALSO cast time went 50% down. Which now means that if we use 5 stacks of Maelstrom to trigger an instant cast of a spell (eg: Lightning bolt) we only get 50% cast reduction on the heal.
If we use 7 Maelstroms, it’s again instant damage but only 70% speed reduction on the heal.
It’s really annoying gameplay-wise both in PVE and PVP. You either have to be always waiting for 10 maelstrom stacks or constantly burning your brain by wondering how fast will your heal now be if you used 5-9 stacks of Maelstrom.
I don’t want to argue against the reduction of healing itself but the cast time is truly annoying and just breaks the feeling as you HAVE to keep wondering about it all the time instead of just knowing.
It should be seemless:
Was damage spell instant? => Heal is instant.
Was damage spell not instant? => Heal is neither.

Please make it in sync again as it was, don’t make our gameplay annoying. There is no reason to give us this nerf, it’s not like Enhancement shaman is outperforming everyone.

With today’s patch the bug is fixed, although I find it funny that they didn’t even address it in the patch notes.

Is the fix present on retail too? For me it’s still the same.

Edit: it’s not. Midnight is out and there’s no fix. It’s a design choice…
But it’s crap. At least if it stacked that would be OK. So you can go 5+5 maelstrom and endup with full Raging maelstrom.
But current design is really bad.
