does anyone know or that can atleast can confirm if warlords of dreaenor is the first expansion where you can get armor pieces, for your collections for a different class if you share the armor type?
Hard to tell, this type of content is kinda messy and its a bit of a missed opportunity.

As long as the pieces don’t specify a class (such as tier pieces), you can earn them as transmog as long as you have the same armor type. But those that do specify can only be obtained and used by the class in question.
