Thats exactly what someone who wants people encourage to buy a boost would say …
I’m honestly disappointed when some posters always quip ‘buy a boost’ as the answer to everything on the forums. It’s different if someone is asking about boosts, is it allowed, how to avoid getting ripped off etc. But if someone is asking for advice or help to do with M+, PvP, Raiding etc then you’d expect people to be reasonable and post about how to build a score, gear up, get into raiding, do whatever PvPers do xD.
Definitely disagree with this.
Imagine being fairly new to the game and not knowing rio exists, do some +15s with guildies, then queue for some maybe 10-14s, but getting declined because you didn’t go to a third-party website and tell them to show your data.
The fact that it does it automatically puts everyone on and even playing field.
I know it might be hard to imagine someone not knowing about rio, but it has reached a status where it is so popular, that it is not mentioned, and most players i know that have started late bfa, don’t know about it, but i just assumed so, so they would be screwed if it was opt in.
Also blank slate is worse than low experience, so what is the point in hiding it? You don’t want the world to see that your highest key is a +5? it looks worse that you have nothing on your profile.
Just trying to understand your perspective here.
quick side question, can you hide it on your armory profile? because if you can’t then making it opt-out is to me a weirder decision, but if you can, then i can kinda see it.
You can’t opt out of the armory. And we can see your experience on there too. It’s just not as good as raider io and gives a far harsher review of your abililty.
Then making it opt-out default makes no sense, cause your information is out there anyways.

I am one of those people that kinda despise this add-on but man… This is VERY well made and fun to look at. Thanks for this
EDIT: Wonder why I can’t include my page here… Anyway - it’s XV6UbNyDlb
To be honest it wasn’t meant as yet another rio debate, just to make people aware they can look at some fun stats on themselves and share or not share
You just needed to highlight the URL and then press the </>
button to be able to show the URL without Trust Level 3
It would have looked like this https://raider.io/bfa-review/XV6UbNyDlb
Crucible was NOT a popular raid going by most people’s shared reviews so far xD
M+ is a bit more complicated in its current state. You need to factor in utility. Imagine not having a battle ress or no game plan for routes without rogues (we go to that again in SL), or only ranged dps interrupts, etc.
Also i dont see how a queue works with the current key-system.
For M+ you can join an M+ community while you can stay in your guild So there is no design issue at all. Everyone can happily gaming in the content they want.
Meh I don’t care no more, I will utilise RIO in SL’s and I’ll make parties so people carry me to the great score so others think I’m amazing, I’m gonna try it and i’ll just remove anyone with low scores.
You can’t beat em you may aswell join them although I find it hard to be a Dizz to people.
Fun and harmless. Me like.
Some don’t care about the leader’s score, others will. For low keys no one will care but some people will leave groups if the leader is low and just looking for a free boost.
I get that but the case of being Mrs nice just doesnt work, look at how Dejarious flames me whenever he gets chance.
It’s utterly depressed and I hate being horrible and judgemental to people
I would honestly recommend joining a key community that is friendly to players and not looking to push scores. Scared of Dungeons and Calm Keystones both have good reputations.
At this point Im rerolling in Sl’s so I will start afresh then I just wish some communities where… “nicer” to others I’ve always gone by the philosiphy of treat those how you wish to be treated but I’ve been treated like utter dirt in this game by certain individuals…
I’ve made a good friend in someone I’ve met on these forums and I am looking forward to doing new content with him.
Sounds like you’ve had a horrible time. I hope Shadowlands is better for you, maybe I can look forward to reading your review at the end of SL
