Do I understand it correctly that I do not need to kill thrall to upgrade and try to do as many zones as possible?
After Rank 5, you do not need to kill Thrall/Alleria. Killing them at the end does provide a small bonus reward, but you don’t need them for the quest.
After Rank 5, you just need to kill the bosses in the Corrupted zones to complete the quests, until Rank 12, when you need to kill the bosses in the Lost zones.
Of course, from rank 6 through 11, you may also kill bosses in the Lost zones after you have finished killing the two Corrupted ones, but that is optional.
What if I do lost zones? Do I get more pages?
Yeah you can. When your quest says to do corrupted or lost zones both will give.
When your cloak is so high you get the new quest that only says lost zones it will only be lost zones. Pretty self explanatory if you read what the quest says.
