So my authenticator is on my old phone which died over a year ago so I cannot access it. How do I go about removing my authenticator to put it on my new phone?
I wrote a ticket, because I experinced the same thing when I wanted to open my acc again.
I got a respond and the acc was authenticator free within an hour 
I think when you get it removed, you can reapply it for your new phone

To remove your authenticator, follow the instructions listed in the Removing the Blizzard Authenticator support article.
As Moothilda mentioned, you can install/linkup the authenticator from your new phone afterwards.
