The game has mechanics?!? Well
its a dumb mechanic to deal with.
its not hard to kick. its hard to not overlap kicks with 4 randoms unvoiced players ( the vast majority of keys done )
My only issue with this is that stops no longer interrupt, meaning there are a ton of unavoidable stops that will brick interrupts for no good reason.
also every key is perma fortified meaning that casts literally do 50-80% of peoples health, and thats the spammed abilities that you have to fit kicks into while also prioritizing MUST stop casts.
balance the game arround unavoidable damage more and tune down the stopable dmg.
its often depressing to watch a giga high key being done and see the healer healing less than you do in a +10. (outside heal check bosses)
Nobody can deny that it’s not great for pugs when even organised teams are using weakauras to organise who interrupts or uses stuns/stops. If you don’t organise it in some meaningful way to stagger interrupts and stuns you will run into mobs either being immune to CC from diminishing returns or 4 players going for the same interrupt and being on cooldown.
In M+ the bulk of the difficulty has boiled down to how well you can co-ordinate this while dodging lava and trying to maintain dps. I do think M+ is fun, for the most part, but mostly when you’re overgearing stuff, because long slow steady dungeons with damage sponge mobs that you have to perfectly coordinate interrupting is boring.
But hey that’s why I mostly only do 10 keys and I don’t pug.
Haven’t really seen this as a big issue in the +10s I’ve been pugging. I’m guessing there’s a specific dungeon where this happens.
The solution to this is to do to interupts what they did with cleanse on ret pally (probably other casts too) where if it doesn’t cleanse anything, the CD is reset and it can be cast again.
That way if 4 people interupt the same mob, only the one that lands will cause a CD, and the other 3 players can interupt other stuff.
naaah, mobs in dungeon will let you just freee cast / auto attack, my friend xD

It’s a group challenge.
Of course it’s going to be harder in randoms, even more so unvoiced.
But that’s what makes this content so fulfilling for those that do enjoy grouped content with their friends.
I’ve never done M+, it’s not the type of content I enjoy (even if I could do it these days, I wouldn’t).
Maybe there should be more solo content for players without a social structure in game.
I do M+ without pressing interupt once.

i personally just prefer a more designed outcome of what a healers job is…
more stable dmg in pulls and not 25 casts going off almost 1 shotting everyone that get hit. because 3 players overlapped 1 kick.
but to each their own.
I’m popping off with my interrupts. I don’t mind it. It’s when dps we put in don’t use them becomes a nightmare.
If there were no “mechanics” m+ would be all about pulling 500 mob and kiting. Thats sound very “challenging” indeed.
I agree that this season way too many mobs have interruptable skills and specific debuffs.
Hope they learn and change in next season.
