I’m starting to get a little frustrated! I’m a Restoration Druid. I have over 10 druids spread across 2 accounts. I play PvP and have dedicated a crazy number of hours to becoming one of the best since 2020. Throughout Dragonflight, I’ve played arena and solo for around 2,000 hours. In the last season of DF, I was the second Druid to hit 2400 in solo shuffle. This season, I was number 5 after the first week. I love double Rejuvenation and don’t play anything else. In Dragonflight, double Rejuvenation wasn’t the meta for Restoration Druids, and I was okay with that. I ended up with 7 druids in the top 30 in solo shuffle. But what’s happening right now, I absolutely won’t accept, and that’s why I’m reaching out.
Our healing is not enough at all. In solo shuffle, we need to perform 8-10 Cyclones in the short amount of time a match takes. Our healing is simply insufficient. Let’s start with outside of burst damage and even outside of medium damage situations. Our Lifebloom, Regrowth + 2 Rejuvenations are not enough to deal with small damage. We can’t use Treant and Cenarion Ward for small damage because then we have nothing left for medium or big damage. Why is our healing not enough? It’s because, when a Discipline Priest can deal 25 million damage in the 1.5 minutes a match takes, the damage they pump out means we need more to survive even the small damage periods, along with Evokers. In the second go of a solo match, even if we give all HoTs, Incarnation, + 2 Treants, + Barkskin, and spam Regrowth, our healing target still dies like butter. It’s not okay that some healers can deal so much extra damage, while our HoTs are so weak.
What really makes me angry is that the damage a Disc Priest and Evoker are dealing right now means that players with 2100 XP are winning EASY over others with extremely high XP. That’s not okay. Where is the balance? WHO IS MAKING THESE AJUSTMENT???These players w. 2100xp are winning easily right now, playing casual 1-3 hours a week, using no tech, while I and others w. high xp is spending tons of time trying to perfect our skills and using WeakAuras, etc. Who is even keeping track of this? No nerf to Disc Priests tomorrow, and the nerf to Evokers isn’t enough. The fact that both Disc Priests and Evokers can deal so much damage, while at the same time removing our HoTs, along with many more DPS classes now being able to remove HoTs as well, makes it impossible to deal with. It’s also impossible to manage 8-10 Cyclones in a solo shuffle unless it’s a full melee comp. If we take two kicks in a solo from ranged kicks that are 5 seconds long silence, we’re done - due to a ton of other cc we have to deal with. But how are we supposed to heal if we don’t have enough healing? I talken to alot of high xp druids. We all agree.
WHAT IS GOING ON BLIZZARD??? CAN YOU PLZ TRY DO SOME RL BALANCE UPDATES. TRY PLAY THE GAME.
Current main problem for resto druid in SS:
-You play game for 3 hours… 90% of games are against disc priest (like nothing else exist)
-Versus disco game feels exactly 3 versus 4
-Our healing is on margin of weakness even without disco damage, but when priest damage joins we simply cannot heal, damage is just so much.
-Almost anyone can remove our HoTs for high yield results
-Weak mana compared to others
-Dampening impact resto druid much more than disco priest, PS, swaps, work divine good even if dampening is high.
Absurds:
We all agree that druid is more healing oriented spec, than damage or playmake in SS. By that philosophy since we dont have damage aspect like disco priest, our healing shoud be stronger than disco priest…why ? because disco priest has also damage… Right now we have situation when disco priest do better healing than us while also having damage. So basicly priest in their team simply act as better healer and as third DPS, we cannot keep pace with it. Druids can also do damage, but our telent tree is very unfrendly for any spec we want to make besides bloom or 2 rejuve specs, because to do damage we really must gimp our already weak healing.
I understand that perfectly well. Some of us only play one class to become the best version possible. That’s why it’s a bit difficult to just switch around when Blizzard pushes out buffs and nerfs like they’re coming off a week-long party with heavy drinking.
Rdruid is too far behind on both mana and hps.
I guess rdruid, especially if night elf has an easier time drinking but you littery go through 20 drinks before the priest is even at 50% lol
Another problem is that when you have to drink so much, and you’ve had to for a long time, you barely have time to play PvP properly, set up plays, or anything else because you’re constantly forced to drink
Misery and weakness is only words how to describe resto druid healing right now…
Dragons = automatic lose
Guys who neglect usage of their defensive = automatic lose
Heavy dispel comps = automatic lose
Squishy people = automatic lose
Hight dampening = no toolkit, when your best healing restore 5% of someone health bars
Priest join damage = hard time almost automatic lose as well due insufficient healing
Our healing is so weak that even being in tree form not offers respite… in general we cannot keep anyone alive without hard regrowth spam… Cyclone someone good, but only 1x interupt is enough to get someone killed.
Out hots are not only weak, they are also easy removable, and almost anyone have dispell in their toolkit, people not dispeling us in manner they want skill play to dispel some key stuff, they dispel us in abuse mindless spam style.
Right now we are just cannon fodder to fuel undeserved wins to other healers. In short we are good source of free ratting for them, our existence is fun for others.
