Retail looks like a mess - and I had big hopes

  • Campaign was so boring to follow I skipped everything and treat it like a sec. job.
  • Open world pvp with war mode on looks dead. I almost never find an enemy to fight. And even if u find someone, he will just run away easy with insta cast and 312403132 km/h flying speed.
  • Instanced pvp looks like a mess. All classes are 1 button classes, every class have the same toolkit, there 238313183812 spawned adds and 21321321 spell modifiers, interface is dumb, i cant even understand who the enemy is.
  • Lore new direction with the light being just another kind of magic is boring. I miss when dark was bad, light was good and demons were demons, not cosmic stupid aliens.
  • Pve is meh, noone I care about to fight in dungeons/raids. Delves are somehow fun tho.
  • Couldn’t care less about housing
  • Zones are decent and its cool that we are back in Azeroth. New race makes no sense. no ideea why blizz still add stupid races instead of focusing on the real warcraft ones. Just delete the harandir haranir w/e already. and the lizzards as well.

I feel like i got scammed to be fair. We pay so much money for so little. For the moment even shadowlands felt more fun than this.

I came back after years and also don’t feel too impressed. I got the free month from the epic edition but might not buy any further game time. If you want a traditional good storyline I would recommend FF14 to be fair.

yeah. same. I was hoping for a decent game. But almost everything feels so cheap. And not sure whats up with the players, but I hardly meet anyone. And as I said before, especially enemies. I almost never find a horde. In dragonflight i remember that it was full of world pvp. Pvp queues are long as well.

There’s far better PvP games out there and people generally want to avoid that part of the game.

WoW these days is very much not for the story.

It’s about the gear.

No, there is no better pvp mmorpg game out there. Pvp with no substance behind, its boring. Also, pvp used to be a big deal in wow. Not sure what real warcraft player plays pve without pvp. That’s lame.

There are better pve games out there btw.

and most of those play TBC classic currently.

Yeah when i think PvP i more think Counter strike or maybe MOBA games or the entire fighting game genre.

But they are all very low PoP these days so hard to even find people to play with in them.

Blade & soul & Vindictus always were my favorites.

Yeah, I heard. But there’s no future for those realms so it feel like waste of time. I would give retail for classic+ for sure when it will exist. But meanwhile, I was hoping retail can be decent.

You look like 100% pvp person and disliked it.

I’m 100% pve and still loved in retail.

I doubt it. Lore is boring and childish. Pve encounters are boring as well. No cool characters with lore behind em in dungeons/raids. Classes are oversimplified and way too similar. I doubt that pve players have that much fun spaming 1 button fighting boring npcs.

Do the side quests and not the campaign then.

We know what kind of bosses we will have. All of them will be boring. Even Salad is boring as f.

nah. Just played it. Campaign is for 12 years old.

in which times demons weren’t aliens? warcraft 1? light was atleast hinted to be some sort of cosmic force in tbc with introduction of draenei and naaru.
I feel like people like you have played some other game not warcraft i knew since i played warcraft 3 and got drawn in this rabbit hole

Look I get it is not your cup of tea; a good deal of your points are quite understandable even though I believe we can all agree that these things are of the subjective variety. Nonetheless I struggle to find any sense in this one thing you said:

Like what would you be getting out of this? Them deleting these two races will not give them the time and other resources spent on them back, so it is not like there’d be any gains. There’s also a good amount of people who like these two races and you’d just be taking away something from them. And if you are worried about resources and time going towards them in the future and thus not into others? Well, dracthyr have hardly gotten anything new after Dragonflight, and I am inclined to believe haranir will end the same way.

Really though, what’s up with people and this “I do not like this so delete it completely” kind of demands? Let’s be a little more realistic here, please. :folded_hands:

yea, right. i agree.
i think it’s a provocation because it is seen as a useless effort.
may be it was.. doesn’t make more work to anything else now to unmake it though.
and i don’t think it was anyway
 to tell the story they needed those guys, i suppose.
and they needed them to give something fresh to start with for those who like that.
honestly, i don’t think blizzard sweated very hard creating those. so nm.
and i think that if they are deleted, then it’s a deterrent to recreate such work and then you’d instead focus on other work. but like i said, i don’t think they are that much work.
i enjoyed your bridging post, i really appreciate such things.

Its not even about gear becouse seasons just makes gearing completly pointless.
