I sincerely think that classic players should be able to talk and listen to classic players without being bothered by bfa players, and vice versa.
I didnt touched bfa nor will I, there is no point for me posting in retail forum, because I dont bloody care about it.
If you play both, cool, but keep on classic forum being classic.

All players are different.
this. players have known me since summer 2008 as vintoleth in game and on forums. so im really not hiding, im being me. i dont know how many people would remember me from spring 2007-summer 2008 on my first toon, though i am using that name for my current āmainā in classic.
There are quite a few of us who play both

I donāt get your point. You are telling me that people who enjoy classic have a completely different outlook to those who play retail but also that one person can enjoy both games.
Surely there is a slight dichotomy there.
I thought it was pretty easy to understand.
Classic players will be classic. Retailers will be retail playing a while or casually classic to have some change, then surely they ll go back to their game, like visitors.
Both are ok, both are games and everyone can play as they please, I shouldnt force someone to think or play X, and nobody shall do the same for me and my friends/buddies.
Then you got retailers that end up hating retail wanting to stay classic for the fun.
Both games āeducatedā their playerbase very diferently, and both playerbase act and think most of the time very differently.

And yet here I am, someone who has played since Vanilla and enjoys both games equally.
What I am trying to say here is that I think you are pigeonholing people too much. I suspect that there are plenty of others out there like me who enjoy both equally and are not here just to be tourists but to actively play both games.

And Im truly glad that you do, enjoying this first month. Im still looking foward about what new blizz will do in the future with the phases, because so far some shots has been missed. And PS servers will take over again if they cant satisfy Vanilla players.
Im not pigeonholing, Im just saying fact. I dont even ask if somebody is one or another, and yetā¦ The kind people who I got added are mostly old Vanilla players when we talk about it days laters. Some didnt even played Ps servers.

Why is hiding behind retail chars such a bad thing? Draenei is my favourite race and Iāve put a lot more work into my retail char so far than Iāve put into my level 33 Tauren warrior on classic.

i support OPās sentimentā¦ getting pretty tired of seeing retail avatars promoting unwanted changes to classic on hereā¦ (like AOE loot, LFD tabs, class talent/spell/ability changes etc.)
Oooooh, I know those quest, but I have never done them - I have a reason to do that now
