Just because someone says something about the game you disagree with doesn’t give you the right to silence them. The whole point in the forums is to discuss whats good and bad about the game. Activision blizzard haven’t even kept classic faithful to the original. People will make complaints about that. People will make complaints about whats not been changed. The whole point in having a forum is to discuss the game. You can’t just filter people’s opinions because you think your experience is more relevant.

If you like the pace of retail then yes Classic will be too slow for you. BfA is nothing like a real MMO and not worth the money imo. Retail gives you a reward for every time your character farts. You can even buy ‘rewards’ with real money if things are too slow for you. Classic is nothing like that.
That’s an interesting point, @Toci, I agree completely that a forum should be a place to discuss the game, it’s good and bad points and make suggestions to improve it where possible.

They already filter your opinion when your subscription time ends. If you are not playing the game you can’t post on the forum. Yet people can troll on the Classic forums when they are not playing Classic.

I never really got into the Pandaren Race, I did roll a couple of chars one monk class and I can’t remember the other class but can’t remember why I deleted them, I did find that the Pandaria island looked very nice.
Not sure if dumb or trolling… Or just too lazy to read?

I like both games for different reasons. I don’t really think they can be compared. Some seem to have to constantly spew vitriol about the other game on the forums.
Just play the one you like or play both.

Some in this thread are deliberately obtuse so they can spew their toxicity again at the op, proving his obvious point.
Namely that he’s sick and tired of having to read about retail players coming over to hate on the game just because. You can discuss that his solution is good or bad, but denying his intention so you can troll doesn’t look good on anybody.

I don’t like both games but I agree that they can’t really be compared. Sure one lead to the other but they’re several generations apart at this point. It’s like comparing jazz to heavy metal. One lead to the other, there are similarities but in truth they’re radically different.

Of all the things to get hung up over…
You’re not better for using your classic avatar over your BFA avatar (not “retail”, BFA, you’re not freeloading on p servers anymore) nor are people worse for using their BFA avatar over their classic one.
It’s getting so boring seeing more threads that are just petty tribalism and one-upmanship, who cares if some people don’t like it? Them not liking it isn’t going to ruin the game for you.

Being super pedantic, even Blizzard refer to ahem BFA as _retail_ in the game files.
Plenty of people who play both and post in both and I’m not about to switch chars everytime I hop between them, that’s too much effort

The OP was never about avatars.
I am not swapping characters just because I have posted on same character long before classic came. I find it even un-ethical to alt-post and pretend to be someone else.
I do have L50 classic character, and I do not use her because of the very fact that ‘alt posting’ is lame move on forums. Least with this name people know who I am and can check my post history (for whatever reason, I never checked anyones, but hey :P)
But of for posting existence of character would be enough then fine by me. But I do find that need to use different avatar for the sake of it, no.
