Roleplaying addons for macros no longer works after the patch

After the patch, all of the addons I used to create roleplaying macros have been utterly destroyed. Nothing works anymore and some of these addons have also not been updated in quite some time.

The most important addon was one called randomsay, which made it easier to tie random sayings to abilities with a % trigger, so it wouldn’t be spammy. This no longer works at all.

I’m going to look into recreating this addon myself if that is the only way, but first I need to know something, so I hope someone from Blizzard can answer this.

Is the reason it’s not longer working the patch or the lack of an update?

This addon and a few others massively influence how I play wow and without them I no longer have any incentive to play. Blizzard has completely destroyed me here, so it’s imperative that I get this addon up and working again asap. It has nothing to do with combat whatsoever, so I don’t understand why this would be affected. I’m devastated beyond what words can say.

Check that your macros are within the 255 character limit.

They are, randomsay was helping a lot with using less space than what regular command lines would require.

Had some issues with substitutions in MacroTalk, might be a similar problem. BugGrabber + BugSack can help you debug.

It needs to be updated, Bugsack is not enough.
