People are welcome to share some words about the person they’re remembering. After a week, the ornaments will be moved to a grove near Bel’ameth. Organized by Acrona

Stepping in for Acrona (and thus using her format!), I am here to announce that the next Bel’ameth Tavern Night will take place on Thursday 14th, 20:00 server time!

This edition is a collaboration between the night elf and draenei roleplay scenes, co-organised by Balturas, Arcaraan and myself!

The next instalment of Bel’ameth Tavern Night will take place on Thursday the 14th of August, from 20:00 server time onward!

This tavern night is not like the others… Because tonight, the Silver Feather inn has invited the Draenei from the Azuremyst Isles over to celebrate with them the deep bonds of friendship that exist between their people and the Kaldorei and to allow new connections to be forged.

And what better way is there to bond than locked in an embrace?

This tavern night is focused around Jed’hin, the traditional wrestling sport of the Draenei. If you have never participated in a Jed’hin bout before, this night is the ideal moment for it: following a quick introduction by Artificer Arcaraan, he and Esaran Mallowgleam will be hosting friendly matches where the only prize is fun! Come and grapple with your opponent, or watch the matches from a comfortable distance while enjoying food and drink prepared by darling chef Balturas Strongoak.

We look forward to meeting you, be you participant, spectator or socialite!

A topic will be presented by the moderator of the moot. From there on it’ll take on a free-speech/emote format. This night will have a free-emote style of “order”, so no queues! However, we’ll be experimenting with a new rule this time, namely the higher rank character may not be interrupted by a lower rank character. Only thing requested is that during the discussion everyone remains civil! Remember, its all IC!

Regarding the upcoming Kaldorei Dance Night on November 14th, due to characters below level 70 being unable to interact with 70+ characters in the zone, I’ll relocate the event from Amirdrassil to the Grove of Cenarius in Val’sharah.

No themes, no competitive pressure or anything, just a casual get together with rhymes and social niceties.

Some playing rules, however:

Pre-write your rhymes

It helps keep a steady rhythm and leaves time for more people to partake.

Respect the nature of the event

There’s a time and place for all kinds of roleplay. This won’t be appropriate grounds to start fights with old rivals, though balanced interactions between crowd and performers are wholly encouraged.

The hostess isn’t the discriminatory sort, and though their presence might cause turmoil, Hordies are welcome, kept under careful watch from the unseen but ever omnipresent Amirdrassil sentinels.

Sparring at Keen Edge

Steel rings with shrill clarity from the collision of dulled edges. The scent of sweat and blood undermines the subtle fragrance of dew from Bel’ameths flowerbeds. Cries of agony upset the harmonizing of bird song and the unsuspecting buzz of village chatter. It’s just a bruise, soldier. Pick yourself up and get back in there.

Perhaps there is a motive to show force behind the choice to elect Keen Edge Hall, the first sight of many visitors to Amirdrassil’s ever prospering capital settlement come across, as the theatre of regular combat practice amongst the sentinels. Truth is, the training grounds are an open stage for any combatant to test their mettle, and in case there was ever any doubt, a cordial invitation awaits those with a thirst to hone their prowess.

To the citizenry of Bel’ameth,

Volunteers are invited to report to Keen Edge Hall to engage with the sentinels in combat training, this not in the spirit of competition, but rather a chance to trade techniques, experimental or conventional. Sparring weapons will be spared out of our own armoury. If you have your own to bring, they need approval from the presiding officer.
