Children of the stars, you are welcome to Val’sharah for a night of dance and merriment near the druidic haven of Lor’lathil. At the start, Keeper Nightwish will greet attendees and share a brief story about Cenarius, the forest lord, in recognition of our long-standing relationship with the peoples of the forest, from dryads to furbolgs.

We implore you to treat the Grove of Cenarius with respect and care during your time there. May this be an occasion for the kaldorei of Val’sharah, Kalimdor, and Amirdrassil to foster their connections, and give old friends the opportunity to make new memories.

The kaldorei dance night happens tomorrow!

A poster may be read in night elf settlements:

Children of the stars, you are welcome to Val’sharah for a night of dance and merriment near the druidic haven of Lor’lathil. At the start, Keeper Nightwish will greet attendees and share a brief story about Cenarius, the forest lord, in recognition of our long-standing relationship with the peoples of the forest, from dryads to furbolgs.

We implore you to treat the Grove of Cenarius with respect and care during your time there. May this be an occasion for the kaldorei of Val’sharah, Kalimdor, and Amirdrassil to foster their connections, and give old friends the opportunity to make new memories.

The event features guided choreographies that include movement and emotes, instructed step by step. This time, for variation, all the dances will also include using a few items. The first one will be the fan dance some people are already familiar with, and the latter two are new.

The emotes used in the choreographies will be written in CAPS, for example: “One step forth! CLAP!” The first two dances are designed to be performed with a dance partner. The dance roles won’t be gendered, and the hosts will try find everyone a companion at the start of the event.

Please bring a hand fan (transmog item) with you! Two of the dances might also look good with the Inky Potion (optional). The hosts will provide the other in-game items used as part of the dances.

To help imagine the characters dancing, Watch2Gether website will be used for synchronous background music that will be played by NPCs In-Character! In Character there’s a group of NPC bards playing at the edge of the glade.

Thank you so much for the Dance Night! It was incredibly fun, and a visual spectacle Always amazes me what dances you come up with and how the toys/items are incorporated. Hope to see some returning faces should we ever dance the night away again!

No themes, no competitive pressure or anything, just a casual get together with rhymes and social niceties.

It helps keep a steady rhythm and leaves time for more people to partake.

Respect the nature of the event

There’s a time and place for all kinds of roleplay. This won’t be appropriate grounds to start fights with old rivals, though balanced interactions between crowd and performers are wholly encouraged.
