Nobody is denying that Zandalar Tribe or RP/PvP Servers are the best! Ive played WoW since the very start in Vanilla and Zandalar Tribe in 2019 was my first RP/PvP Server. By far the greatest experience ive had in the game. Sure, it had flaws like commie freaks speech-policing server discords and attempting the same (but failing) in public chat channels ingame, but the general population was just lovely!
Im but shamelessly using every opportunity to hate on the falsely so called “expansions”!
Wake up people! The game isnt World of Warcraft if theres flying. Its just “of Warcraft” hehehe get it? Cause theres no World.
I really dont know why people talk themselves into praising Wrath of the Lich King or even The Burning Crusade. The people who dont realize how the first “expansion” butchered and killed WoW are the reason we dont get good games.
Anyway… Northrend pass when? Come on Blizzard, people want their special edition Shoveltusk mount!
Speaking for myself, I loved TBC because it’s when I started WoW. And I started early in the expansion (I played on Defias Brotherhood) so I did get to experience something akin to the late Vanilla leveling experience (with the slower leveling and areas such as Jin’tha Alor being elite).
And being a Druid player, Flight Form felt awesome! When I first got it, I remember just flying around Outland for an hour with “Learning to Fly” playing on repeat! And I remember a PvP spat I and 2-3 other Druids had with some Alliance gankers in HFP. We defeated them and just flew around over their corpses like vultures, bear-bombing them the moment they tried to rez! It was glorious
They should, yes. Especially since they seem to already be decided. I have read the original message, by the way. It is legit. It is also why Celebras players got so quiet on the forums. They just got frustrated and gave up and transfered or quit.
When we originally analyzed realm populations and decided which to close, we were focused on applying the same logic to every realm being examined but regrettably, it initially escaped our notice that RP realms would be completely removed from the EU ecosystem with this course of action. That was quickly pointed out, and we agreed, that a region without a place for RP players to congregate would be objectively incorrect.
Because people were defending Zandalar Tribe long before they decided to open free transfers. Not as many as those who cried “dead server”, perhaps, but the fact that Zandalar Tribe was a unique server due to its tag was brought to light many times.
I think what likely happened is that mods from this forum told them that the european rp crowd complained about all of their servers being closed, so they just did what appeared to be the easiest fix. I bet we might appear a gready and unthankful bunch to them, still complaining. I really don’t think they got into in depths arguments about the specific issues RP-PVP players or German rp players had with this. Else they would, for example, have checked and seen that an overwhelming majority of German rp players played on German servers before we got Celebras. And of course they will do so again now. Or they would have realized that, for you, RP and RP-PVP are not the same. It doesn’t seem like they don’t care, as the response is really nice. It rather seems they just don’t get it, which is supremely frustrating.
I think the problem is really, that we do not have CMs anymore.
I am not even sure if anyone does really pass on things from here.

There is just no way, that these few people can read anything.
Yes, the GM/CS are, afaik now supposed to keep watch on the forums, too - but it is not their main job.
I think, the whole “the RP do not want to loose their homes” thing never reached the devs, at least not the whole “they are really desperate” dimension.
It did, when we managed to really reach one of them.
That the roleplayers were desperate, because they were going to loose their homes, and in case of Celebras, their community, they did not know.
If we had our CMs the WHOLE teams, this would not have happened, because this whole chaos would have reached them earlier - and i am sure, they would have intervened earlier.
this is not the devs fault - it´s the fault of the person, who fired the whole CMs.
Your post has touched my heart…I wish there was something I could do to help you guys. I think it’s truly sad that blizzard is taking such move. Unfortunately, I think the new generation of players have no desire for fun rp adventures. Had I known months ago that such server existed, I would have joined ZT for I remember fondly the experience of rp in old wow. Don’t give up your fight and keep the crowd together. <3 This is a dying aspect of the wow franchise, blizzard should do more to include all players of the game.
Not true! Funny story. I met a young, new wow player a few days ago on a PVE server. He said, “RP, cool! I always want to try new things! I watched some rp on twitch for GTA.” That kind of cracked me up, but we did some light rp and it was really fun. So here is to hoping that rp never dies!
Based on that message being shared about, seems Blizzard are sticking with just keeping Hydraxian around. Unfortunate as now Europe will not have a single RPPvP server option.
Next best thing is for everyone to band together and move to Hydraxian Waterlords and try and make it the best server it can be. I’m hopeful one of the fresh Wrath servers will be RPPvP to fill in the void, but I have major doubts they’ll do that.
There is still the US RP-PVP, if you want to try it (in your case, there is apparently no language barrier )
And: Even on RP-PVE it is possible to have RP-PVP… we have had this on Celebras…
Please save the legacy of the RP-PVP servers, by saving Zandalar Tribe. While I don’t play there anymore myself, I fully support those that didn’t move from the server. So give it new life by opening free transfers TO the server, instead of closing it.
This post is about HW… I was just in Orgrimmar on my 53 Troll Priest, a character I am very fond of and did not move to MR, because I wanted to leave something important on HW, I didn’t want to give up completely. Org was literally empty. It’s heartbreaking. And I don’t think it will get any better Horde side. I’m beginning to think that you all on ZT are the lucky ones. I’m beginning to wish that Blizz just pulls the plug on HW. They practically butchered it anyway with the blasted free transfers…
I feel sad for you. Ally is just a bit better, but that free transfer killed off HW. I would have liked Celebras to have been the surviving RP server.
We can only hope that the fact that there’s too few PvE servers will make people transfer to HW - that is if they ever pull togerther their act and open up that transfer from all realms as promised.
We have to have a RP raelm - and a low pop one as well. Sigh So much trouble just in order to play!!

Also to cheer you up a bit - trying at least, it’s summer holiday, peole are (I don’t understand why) waiting for XP buff. Let’s hope for better times ahead.
After Blizzard completely killed Zandalar Tribe by opening free transfers, they are now punishing those that have made the effort to bring those servers back to life.
I don’t want to play on a non-RPPvP server.
I don’t want to play on high populated servers infected by gold sellers, bots and gdkp runs.
I don’t want to play on a monofaction server.
I want to play on a realm that still has integrity.
And the cherry on the top, I created this thread 21 days ago. And we’ve had no reply. August 10th is literally two weeks and a few days away, and we still don’t know where they’re going to force transfer us if we choose to stay on the server till the end.
And what blows me away is that all the effort into creating the guild and organising the guild bank is going to disappear. Do you know how much effort it took to farm the gold to buy the various guild bank tabs without a working auction house? If I don’t accept the free transfer and stay till august 10th, do I get to keep the guild I created?
Blizzard is literally begging me to cancel my subscription.
