Season 3 dungeons are unfun

I have not dove my feet yet, but asthetecally wise they are some of my all time favorite.

well SL dungeons were without doubt much better designed. mainly because they had so much less trash abilities which were absolutely deadly to whole team .

I think there is a quote from an interview where they rule out Classic dungeons for being too basic.

Who knows if they’ll change their mind in the future tho.

Weird definitions. It’s like you make a proclamation that in some cases challenging is fun where as for some reason in other places it isn’t?

Why is losing someone in the first boss in Ruby fun and not being able to break the shield and die to aoe (fun and challenging!) but dying to thorns isn’t?
Why is people dying to the death whirl on adds in Ruby fun and challening!! (or last boss dot) but people dying on the pizza boss “unfun”?

Theres no consistency here other than “cos I said so”.

So because I died on them they aren’t manageable? Did we play them flawlessly and still die? Did people stack or spread over 50 yards (as ranged love to do) so they didn’t get cleaved down and people got tons of stacks? I don’t know what your statement proves or tried to prove other than when you do something badly you die. I’ve done the doggo’s hundreds of times and “not” died…

They are staggered on purpose, if 2 people have it its because you failed to heal the first one off in time and that person is going to expire shortly.

So in summary, dying to crap in RLP (fun and challenging!) / Dying to things in s3 dungeons not fun.

Good chat.

Season 4 dungeons have already been announced.

Dragonflight Season 4 will revisit Dragonflight’s dungeons and raids, along with outdoor content, featuring updated rewards, and a few new twists.

So in essence another fated season. Was talked about 3 months ago.

Season 3 the most fun DF season so far and nice and easy for all your chars to get KSH/portals/3k. I am going to hate season 4 with all DF dungeons and RLP and AV coming back poorly designed dungeons. Unless they add something special for a reward really no point to do them apart from leveling gear.

That is exactly what im talking about. The mechanic is not fun. Whatever the level.

And my opinion is that the issue of overlapping abilities is because getting the orb trucks. Even in a 20, its a disaster if you ping-pong the orb around people that are trying to dodge swirlies.

Imagine for a second though, that the orb did 0 damage. All you had to do now is dodge swirlies and walk to the tank. Thats about it. The mechanic is still there, but it would not feel like such an overlap.

Im kind of insisting that this can be balanced. 3/4 EB bosses are like that. And totally suck. At ALL key levels.

And last season NL Naraxus had that exact problem. Overlap of acid + ST random target stones killing people. So instead of simply scripting the fight to avoid overlaps, they just nerfed the overall damage to oblivion. Which is what they usually do.

Temple in S1, first boss, also had nasty overlapping abilities. Or halls of valor.

I just think you are biased towards DF dungeons.

But that does not disprove your point in any way. You are 100% correct that there are annoying mechanics. That absolutely should be more “scripted” and less random.

so its fun because its without doubt easiest season in history of m+ like ever ?

ust because something is easy it doesnt mean its automaticly fun .

yes m+ is easy this season - still most of dungeons have bad design .

lets take as example EB - its thematicaly my favourite dungeon in game since wow launch - still i really dont enjoy doing it as m+ because people fail sooooo badly so many mechanics there

I need to get a refresh what exactly overlapped. 1st boss temple was just interrupting, or running around, or putting a swirly somewhere. Nothing overlapped. Halls of valor? Everything is just 1 by 1. I am not biased at all. Nothing seems comparable with the DF dungeons on the matter of having to dodge, run around, pushbacks and blast heals at the same time.

Same as I my friend  same as I… doesn’t mean they are fun to do when you survive them.

Can we stop with the hard stuff or not hard stuff? My question is simple: do you find these dungeons fun to play?
You still linger on the fact you think I’m complaining about the complexity.
My question is simpler, and yet you fail to answer.

We are talking about the same thing, from different points of view.

I say blasting heals is the problem.

You say running around dodging swirlies is the problem.

Two different views to solve the same problem.

Can we have 3 Court of Stars, 3 freeholds, 1 Spires of Ascension and 1 Mechagon Workshop next season please?

dont tell me what is or isnt fun as its all subjective.

yes, people being bad at the game is unfun. Dungeons don’t change that

edit - seeing other comments you clearly just want easy free dungeons. Which would be boring af

That or allowing me to run solo. In that case I find everything fun.

while i agree it solves the issue, it’s an mmo. What would be the point running it solo?

we played legion to bfa dungeon throughout the expansion and it was ok. now i feel like im already bored after 1 month. no real character progression anymore in dragonflight. just different trinkets but thats pretty lame.

imo we need progress through the expansion or give us back a season affix because m+ atm is boring af for our group

I think they’re not as fun now because we’ve been stuck with them for too long.
Some affixes though…horrible stuff.

Thats not the freaking dungeon fault if people are basicly morons. U can clearly see who is boosted in m+, the season is so far and there are people who the hell dont know tactics for some bosses.

As a healer I love oneshots. It reduces the stress on me since I can’t be blamed for them. If the consequence of failing is some damage, then everything becomes a healer mechanic.
