But you are also suggesting here that once a player is fully geared they should no longer queue for normal BGs because they are entry-level. There are no HC or Mythic BGs like dungeons. They are meant for everyone to participate in. This of random BGs being for random players is preposterous. The only thing “random” about them is that you can get any BG in the pool if you queue up.
No, that’s not what I’m saying at all, what I’m saying is that you shouldn’t be expecting players in these BG’s to be fully geared, know their spec, know their rotations or any of that cos that’s an excuse used all too often in here. All I’m saying is that if you demand those attributes from players, then you’re absolutely in the wrong venue. These are, as I said, beginner BG’s where you must expect players to be half clueless, badly geared and so on. If you really want that pro experience, then I’m afraid rated is where you will find it. If you don’t want to do rated, like I have no interest in rated, you just have to suck it up and accept that you’re in bog standard, random BG’s with a pool of players where half don’t know what the’yre doing. Not telling players that they shouldn’t be in the BG until they get geared.
I just want to add that I’m glad the Great Vault is being removed in The War Within. It was a daft idea to include PvP as a part of the activities in the first place. This right here is a major contributing factor to why there is such a massive disparity in gear in PvP. Some people like me don’t participate in rated PvP so we fall behind those that do with each passing week. Having the Conquest cap in place ensures that everyone is on an even playing field but the Great Vault breaks that. Sure, new players and alts that start gearing later on will be behind those that started from the beginning of the season but that goes for PvE too.
It would be interesting if the normal Bgs had an MMR just like the Blitz currently has (And this would not be the same as playing RBG) and that as you win, it increase your level. The problem: The lack of people.
If currently, with everyone mixed together, the queues are 10-15 minutes, we will have to see how much it would increase if they did this.
Maybe they could do it and give priority to people who have similar MMR, but in case a while goes (10 min, for example) by and queue doesn’t pop, they should pair you with people who have a lower MMR.
I wouldn’t mind being put with people of the same skill level in random BG as long as the BG queue pop soon.
The bracket for everyone, including beginners.
But even a beginner, if they are smart, can realize that gear matters and buy some cheap greens off the AH to be more useful.
Blitz is a field test for upcoming solo RBGs.
They are not meant to replace random BGs, where playing with friends will probably remain to be allowed.
I assume they will have to take measures against queue syncing to make sure people wont sync in this new mode when it becomes a real rated bracket. If they introduce a queue decline penalty, they could also introduce it to other types of bg like epic bg to combat premade raids.
I am looking forward to this mode, because what I really want to play is RBGs, but as I described earlier, building teams is a pain in the rear.
It’s daft suggesting that others should just join a community to beat the premade issue.
Premades do not belong in random bgs and just because you join a community it won’t solve that issue. I’m not a fan of "If you can’t beat them, then join them.
and just to be clear
Don’t twist my words. Premades that all opposers in various threads are talking about are the 40 man, full raidteams of roflstomping players in random bgs and NO they have never been allowd. They are cheaters who bend the queueing rules to get into random bgs.
If you just use the word “premade” for a smaller group it’s on you.
"Or else what? This is the attitude we all face these days. Selfcentered players who possibly can’t see that that their way of fun aka as roflstomping random bgs are having a damaging impact and ruining the fun for so many others players.
First of all, 40 man bgs are called epic bgs.
I also dislike the way the word “premade” is used, because it means different things to different people.
When I talk about groups larger than 5, I typically say “premade raids” or “queue sync premade”.
I am also against premade raids, but groups of up to 5 players are allowed.
Buying cheap greens on AH has almost no effect against people in full conq and is just a waste of money when the greens you get from honour are so easy to get. You only need to run a handful of EBG’s and you’re on your way. There was a time when we used to gear up and level up in the BG’s.
Seen geared players moan at people joining in greens back in the day, then the geared players would then spend the entire game just chasing round mid for HK’s, oblivious to any flags while the green geared guys were busy healing or cc’ing for their FC, making themselves way more valuable in the game than the guy who was moaning at the start.
Nobody says everyone else isn’t allowed in. But that’s the majority of people you’ll run into there. My point is that you’ll find more disorganized, low geared people then in any other battlegound which is why those are subjected to the most abuse from twinks or from premades.
Yeah, I specifically said I don’t mind small groups. Am I speaking bad english here that people don’t seem to understand I have an issue with queue synchronizing? Actually I have an issue with anything that turns random bgs into a slaugher house.
I’ve seen way too many scumbags in these battlegrounds doing their absolute best to be as obnoxious as possible. I’ve seen groups just camp people at the graveyard for no reason other then humiliate them. And when others on their team speak up, well, they just vote kick them out of the battleground. These people do not deserve that much power over random battlegrounds, I don’t care what anyone says.
Nitpicking much and it’s hilarious because you’re not too precise yourself. In this thread you more times did not mention “premade raids” but just wrote “premades”
and you could say nitpicking back to me, but it’s essential that readers of these threads do understand that what we’re all yelling about are not a group of 2-5 players joining an ebg but that it’s the full raids of 40 players joining the ebgs.
However, I also believe still it’s an issue that a group of 2-5 players join random bgs (the 10-man ones), because it’s potentially possible to make a too heavy impact on a team when so many are teamed up together. I know it’s (still) allowd, but why the resistance against teams playing again other teams?
I’m sorry, but if you’re not an employee/developer at Blizzard, you’re just assuming, just like I do. So I have an opinion and you have another. Noone knows what the future will bring.
I dont need to be an employee to see whats gonna happen. Sure I assumed and sure we got different opinions but theyll never take out the option to play with a few friends.
The full group voice chat premades needs to be demolished. I do 100% agree with this.
That’s not my experience and I’ve played tons of Blitz, in fact so many I can’t look at them anymore. But I’m tired of repeating myself over and over about what’s going on in the Blitz queues, so yeah sure whatever.
