There has been some short update/download roughly 2 days ago. Ever since then I haven’t dropped a single Mote of Water from Umbrafen Eels (Zang) or Mote of Shadow from Voidspawns (Nagrand), althought I killed several dozens of either. Before that update I was able to farm the motes from them with drop rate around 20-25%. Has anyone else experienced this in past 1-2 days?
If the Voidspawns were really hit hard like you said, that’s definitely a bad thing.
Back in the day it was the #1 spot for farming Shadow, and can confirm, I got ~15 Motes when doing the Consortium quest at 66. That was for a dozen kills.
But I think you only had bad luck. In Netherstorm, killing no more rays and manawyrms than needed for quests got me 2 Primal Mana, which I did 10 hours ago.
