so what was once a nice and relaxing world quest is now a mandatory ctrl+s… all because somebody thought it would be a good idea to add an extremely irritating sound effect
after much messing about to find which addon was the culprit I discovered that it was in fact not an addon at all and somebody at Blizzard actually thought this was a good idea. either that or they really despise the players
if anyone could make an addon to mute sound during this world quest and automatically re-enable it after completion, they would become my personal hero
of course it would also be nice if Blizz would revert the change, but I’m not going to hold my breath
Seconded. Not only is it totally annoying, the sounds themselves appear to have been recorded with an old cassette player and come complete with background hiss. A bad idea implemented poorly…
